But, honestly, who are we kidding here? These two member-elected positions are a total smokescreen.
You could even argue it’s worse than having zero elected positions. Two of 9 elected positions is not a say, it is a token illusion of democracy the club can point to when accused of being a dictatorship. It actually serves the dicatorship by enabling them to retain complete control while pointing to this optical illusion of member input. You can’t get any motion passed with two people on a board of nine.
Honestly, members need to start agitating for a FULLY member-elected board and they need to put pressure on the club to make it happen as soon as this bulls*t agreement they have with the AFL expires.
The Adelaide Football Club is an incestuous pool of self-appointed, self-congratulatory parasites who have done nothing in two and a half decades and members just sit there and take the abuse year after fu*king year.

We’re an AFL controlled club. They have the only vote that matters under our constitution. If they don’t like our board they can get rid of them. Is it any wonder we never stand up for ourselves? We are not GWS, but we’re much more like them than say, Richmond.
They were doing that BECAUSE they had the wrong idea.
