But, honestly, who are we kidding here? These two member-elected positions are a total smokescreen.

You could even argue it’s worse than having zero elected positions. Two of 9 elected positions is not a say, it is a token illusion of democracy the club can point to when accused of being a dictatorship. It actually serves the dicatorship by enabling them to retain complete control while pointing to this optical illusion of member input. You can’t get any motion passed with two people on a board of nine.

Honestly, members need to start agitating for a FULLY member-elected board and they need to put pressure on the club to make it happen as soon as this bulls*t agreement they have with the AFL expires.

The Adelaide Football Club is an incestuous pool of self-appointed, self-congratulatory parasites who have done nothing in two and a half decades and members just sit there and take the abuse year after fu*king year.
