I wonder how tickets are selling for tonight’s game, and Sundays game at the MCG? I assume the AFL members will be reasonably full for the Sunday match.

Hard to know what crowds to expect based on actual ticket sales. My guess would be

Richmond V Bulldogs - 52,000
Essendon V Carlton - 57,000

I’d be hoping 60,000 + for dons & Blues but I’m not expecting the blues supporters to come in droves after their recent performances so 57000 is not bad

Maybe a little deceptive but it looks a smallish crowd at the G. Top levels sparse in the AFL, MCC and Olympic stands. May still be 50K+ having said all that!

Good weather should help bring about 30,000 - 35,000 Magpie diehards this arvo!
Reality is it could be a 24,869 type day ..

2nd lowest Pies crowd at the MCG since 1988. Considering how the club has gone since the end of 2019 not that surprising.
Yep the Pies fans are voting with their feet no other excuse on a perfect day for footy! Looks like a long hard winter coming up for Collingwood! Buckley is still a great coach apparently.

There may be a very underwhelming crowd at the derby today....even taking into account the reduced capacity. Compulsory masks plus the latest hotel quarantine * up yesterday will keep people away. How much I don't know, but there were only 3000 at the Glory yesterday, about half what you'd otherwise expect.
