Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
I'd love North to select Darcy at #1 (following Beveridge's comments the other day) and then Daicos at #2. Actually makes some sense given they are more in need of tall talent.
we can? That might be news to our playing squad

Who are GWS likely to take they don't really need mids.... They have Collingwood's first pick which is currently pick 2
Or lose every game, let Hawthorn beat us, and get pick 2 if Collingwood win another game this year.

Trade with GWS for that pick. Our pick 4 plus next years first for the Coll/GWS pick.which will probably turn into pick 4
Daicos
Darcy
Horne
Lose every game for the rest of the year, including Hawthorn.
We lost to North last year to set up pick 1.Nah, I think you have to set the par at beating Hawks and North.
Pick 2 would be nice, but those are potentially catastrophic losses at this point for a young group seeing they are a pair of pathetic teams at home.
The good thing about GCS finding a bit of form is it makes a 7 win, pick 4 season more likely.

We have pick 2, before bids.

Seeing the game against Essendon, the strategy is in play.Absolutely horrible idea. Horrible.
And still no access to the 3 clear best prospects in this draft unless someone lights it up big time in the remainder of the season and the way Covid is going the Nationals are no certainty to be played to get a barometer how the kids stack up against their peers. We lost to North last year to set up pick 1.
Didnt effect our player's psyche.
We have seen enough this year to know our guys can win.
Eseendon game set the course for draft management once a few other results have gone that way the last two weeks.

Yep this is true. And still no access to the 3 clear best prospects in this draft unless someone lights it up big time in the remainder of the season and the way Covid is going the Nationals are no certainty to be played to get a barometer how the kids stack up against their peers.

Collingwood win today no need to trade with GWS.

Draper could well be available with our 2nd pick.with Horne, Draper and Roberts available
I wonder if a trade could be arranged. Crows 2022 first round pick for that 2021 first round Collingwood pick.
Walk away with pick 3 and 4
See what happens I guess.Difference is timing. We lost to North at 0-9 and with a relatively old squad (for a rebuild at any rate), and away from home. Now? We're the youngest in the league, we're slumping and North is a worse team. A very different scenario.
We know they can win, but it's a different barrel of fish when there is the expectation to do so, and the safety net of a competitive loss has been removed. North and Hawks are really primed to be the taster for that for this group.
The best result for us is a 7 win, pick 4 season and it's looking set up to be that kind of year.
Draper could well be available with our 2nd pick.
There's probably a strong chance our first pick becomes better than GWS(Coll)'s. If GWS don't really have a need to draft anyone in the top-8 (ex-bids) since they have their own r1 pick likely around 10, they could trade into next year maybe for our r1 pick.Trade with GWS for that pick. Our pick 4 plus next years first for the Coll/GWS pick.
Lose every game for the rest of the year, including Hawthorn.

OMG!!! Just saw that result ... thought your post was conjectural.Collingwood win today no need to trade with GWS.
