It's unreal how inept they are. Most nuffies on bigfooty have more of a clue.fu** they are idiots on Trade Radio, Goddard reckons Richmond will play hard ball on CCJ. North have pick 1 in the PSD for fu** sake.
Look at that from their point of view.If Goaters our guy and we are confident he might slide to 7 which a lot of the phantom drafts indicate he would, then Id be on the phone to Richmond on the daily to get their 2 firsts.
This is certainly how a lot of bigfooty experts behave come draft period.I still stick by the theory, you only need to see one game to recognise a good player
Reason recruiters see so many games is because they're ranking 60+ players .....so little POD's become importnat in ranking
Did peoples opinions of JHF's speed and attacking abilities change after that one Prelim Final by South .....you bet it did
Sounded to me like Reidy is pretty sure who will be available and who we're taking with pick 4 so if Josh Goater or whoever is that the guy I think that won't happen barring someone they rate higher slipping through unexpectedly. I can't see the Tigers dealing their picks at this time as I reckon they're pretty much in the sweet spots with their current 1st round picks. If Goaters our guy and we are confident he might slide to 7 which a lot of the phantom drafts indicate he would, then Id be on the phone to Richmond on the daily to get their 2 firsts.

If a young player is coming into South's League side ....If I'm Coach, I'm saying to him "just concentrate on applying pressure to the opposition"This is certainly how a lot of bigfooty experts behave come draft period.
Remember, people who saw Horne's quieter games didn't think he was anything special.
Let's hope Richmond do ... it's good for us re. Dawson.fu** they are idiots on Trade Radio, Goddard reckons Richmond will play hard ball on CCJ. North have pick 1 in the PSD for fu** sake.
Collarbone injury not shoulder was the report.Any updates on the severity of Draper's shoulder injury?
He was playing pretty well at half back prior to the injury too.
Well that's the problem because if you look at his junior level games, he clearly showed he's also got the offensive side.If a young player is coming into South's League side ....If I'm Coach, I'm saying to him "just concentrate on applying pressure to the opposition"
Just doing that is the easiest way to assimilate into a side .....the offensive side builds from that
Because most young players are offensive weapons, draft watchers who see a young player tackling & harrassing, assume that's his gamestyle
But "some" BF Draft Watchers hadn't seen those gamesWell that's the problem because if you look at his junior level games, he clearly showed he's also got the offensive side.

Same old same old...
I took it as mid/ forward more than mid/ backReids initial reaction to where Dawson will be played was Centre/ Fwd .....he later qualified that, but I'd say his initial reaction was probably closer to the mark
What he said about what the Crows are looking for in the Draft was, Speed and Power .....didn't specifically say fwd of the ball
I’d love Zac Taylor with a second pick if the first pick was a taller type eg Goater / ErasmusJames Willis and Ned Long with a later pick might be options also.
Hamish does like him a Calder Cannon lad history shows. Josh Goater and Zac Taylor would be nice additions.![]()
What makes you think that???Theres no way Nth are giving up pick 1.
We should target 1 of Rankine or Luko now. Sounded like something is going on with Rankine.
Then we go for Luko next year.
thoughts?
Heard it on trade radio yesterday. What makes you think that???
From Reid? - I mean I heard them ask him about the SA boys and he said he keeps an eye on them but I must have missed what your heard - what did he say specifically?Heard it on trade radio yesterday.
History makes you say thatWhat makes you think that???
I was talking about Rankine and what TexForPM mentioned - not about pick 1 being tradedHistory makes you say that

I will try and find it. It was around the time Rendell did the Adelaide review I think. From Reid? - I mean I heard them ask him about the SA boys and he said he keeps an eye on them but I must have missed what your heard - what did he say specifically?
Crows list boss comments on Dawson, Lynch, Talia, Lukosius, Rankine and more
The latest from Adelaide.www.sen.com.au
Jack Lukosius and Izak Rankine (Gold Coast)
“We always keep an eye on all South Australian talent.
“They’re contracted. They’ll see out those contracts and how things play out over the next 12 to 18 months, time will tell, but we’re certainly having conversations with various managers about players and how we can try and make our list stronger.”

Waiting till next year is the right approach in terms of cost. What worries me is if we are heading down that path, if B King also wants out and maybe Luko? - the AFL might step in and do something as it would almost be the end of the GC project. I would be very open to splitting our pick 4 if we could get 2 firsts and then give one of them and a future 2nd if needs be for Rankine this year - pay the premium now. I just worry next year what might happen if all hell breaks loose up there from an AFL perspective. I am quite sure plenty here will disagree with my takePretty clear that we won't be targetting them until next year, if at all.
It was the GC guy who admitted that Rankine was having both football and external problems.

Richmond may have 8 picks under 44.If Goaters our guy and we are confident he might slide to 7 which a lot of the phantom drafts indicate he would, then Id be on the phone to Richmond on the daily to get their 2 firsts.
