Weekend Wrap and "Liked, Learned, Hated" right here -- How did tipping go?
We could use one of them too, we got plenty of wholes in our team. If he’s talented, take him
Him or Cook. I like Ferres a lot, and wouldn’t be against taking him with an early 2nd, but yes it’d be good to give the two we have opportunitiesAt this point it'd be a bit of a waste. Seeing how hot Gollants start is in the SANFL, I'd be giving him a genuine shot at becoming a third tall before looking at another option at this point.
Why would officials do this. Would do litttle for team harmony. I would have hoped we would treat Talia with more respect. Let’s keep these things in house. McClure whether we like him or not is often on the money with Adelaide. There must be someone who gives him good oil. Nicks team first approach does not seem to fit with this leaking. Is it roo that is talking to the media

Seriously? His teammates love him. Literally every young player brings him up.as a positive influence.I think my point is that I have absolutely no issues with us letting Lynch go - so not sure why the players would have issues with that.
He can always stay on as a development coach. He's done as a player. They will select him again at some point (maybe this week) but he won't deliver.Seriously? His teammates love him. Literally every young player brings him up.as a positive influence.

I can't remember the rule - but I don't think the recently retired can take it?Wonder if he'd accept the SANFL captain's role.

I don’t want roberts I didn’t realise he was a red head![]()
Cal Twomey's Phantom Form Guide: Top draft prospects' June ranking
Draft guru Cal Twomey has dropped his latest rankings of the 2021 draft poolwww.afl.com.au
Cal & Nat video near start of article has video of Roosters' Hugh Jackson (~2min mark, wearing no.12) and Finn Calaghan (~30sec mark, wearing no.17 & then no.12)

Oh, I agree - but the question was about his teammate's reaction. That's not a reason to retain his services as a player.
Particularly when it's clear he ain't up to it anymore.
How exactly are they entertaining offers when they’re free agentsAdelaide will entertain offers for two of its star free agents, Matt Crouch and Daniel Talia.
Rival clubs, particularly those based in Victoria (where Crouch and Talia grew up) have this week become aware of Adelaide’s willingness to let them walk out of the club.
Senior sources at Adelaide have also told The Age that versatile veteran Tom Lynch is also unlikely to be offered a new contract, which has raised eyebrows among some teammates.
Neither Crouch (groin) nor Talia (foot) have played this season as they deal with ongoing injuries and both are in the final years of their contract.
Crouch has long been linked with a move back to Victoria and those noises have only become louder since his brother
Rival clubs told The Age on Wednesday that both players would be valued at approximately second-round draft picks, mainly due to Crouch’s injury history and Talia’s age.

Hawks eye Docker; experienced Crows up for grabs
Matt Crouch and Daniel Talia will be allowed to walk from Adelaide if their free agency compensation is appropriate, while Fremantle’s Lachie Schultz is on Hawthorn’s radar.www.theage.com.au
LOL
More of the AFL owned media mafia running something up the flagpole to get a reaction.
Senior sources LOL LOL
Why would the anyone at the club do this, immediately it would devalue any negotiating tactics even if it was the case.
Crouch's injury history?
Until this year all he's ever had a a few minor issues that he's quickly overcome and he's only 26 ffs.
Crouch long been linked with a move back to Victoria?
Can't say I've ever heard any of that until Sam Manure runs with it today, hardly a reliable source.
What teammates raised their eyebrows, another use of journalistic flair there I'd say.
Jesus - what a leap of logic.
It's the player agents leaking it, to try and generate interest in their clients. It's ALWAYS the player agents. FFS, it's older than the oldest play in the books.
Talia and Lynch will probably net something around a 3rd rounder if traded and probably nothing if free agents. The Crows must be hoping that there will be multiple bidders for each of Crouch/Talia/Lynch to drive up their prices and thereby achieve contracts of sufficient value and length for us to gain adequate AFL free agency compensation.
Even so, if they are seen to have been pushed out the door rather than choosing to leave in spite of receiving a fair contract offer from the Crows, the compensation will more likely be poor.
Might have been better to talk them up publicly, note how critical they will be to improving team leadership and competitiveness next year, then Low Ball them - particularly in the case of RFA Crouch.
End of 2nd round is band 4. Brad Crouch was Band 3. There is no way on earth that Matt, who doesn't come with Brad's baggage is worth less than his brother.Talia and Lynch will probably net something around a 3rd rounder if traded and probably nothing if free agents.
Crouch is likely end of second round. Maybe early second round if lucky.
Crouch will be about the same as his brother either band 2 or 3 which means a very early second round either way given where we will finish.Talia and Lynch will probably net something around a 3rd rounder if traded and probably nothing if free agents.
Crouch is likely end of second round. Maybe early second round if lucky.
Didn't we get pick 37 for CEY? Surely Lynch or Talia get us that? There's absolutely no way we get a 2nd rounder for either Lynch or Talia in a trade (yes I realise Talia is UFA). No chance whatsoever.
Crouch compo should get us one.

Not sure. If we are not trying to keep talia here by putting up a good contract, i could see a club in the premiership window offering him a couple of years at good money..between $500-$600k per year as i could see multiple clubs wanting him. An a UFA that might net a 2nd round compo pickTalia and Lynch will probably net something around a 3rd rounder if traded and probably nothing if free agents.

But brad is the better player imoEnd of 2nd round is band 4. Brad Crouch was Band 3. There is no way on earth that Matt, who doesn't come with Brad's baggage is worth less than his brother.
