Well worth a listen
I'm glad GC didn't take Rachele on that basis unless we were then able to pick up a genuine midfield prospect the likes of Josh Goater, Mitch Knevitt or Connor McDonald as well because obviously there would have to have been a pick in at least the 20's coming with the NWM pick for a pick as high as ours..Really enjoyed this. Great questions asked, and some really insightful answers from Haggis. Excellent work.
Fascinating that if GC took Rachele, we would have traded down and taken Wanganeen-Milera. Really surprised by that.
I thought it every interesting that Haggis was open about a player they DIDN'T rate, who went much higher than on their ratings.I'm glad GC didn't take Rachele on that basis unless we were then able to pick up a genuine midfield prospect the likes of Josh Goater, Mitch Knevitt or Connor McDonald as well because obviously there would have to have been a pick in at least the 20's coming with the NWM pick for a pick as high as ours..
It would be interesting to see Hamish's rankings to see where he had those lads mentioned above on our board.
To be fair if you asked who I think will end up being a 1st round bust he'd be first on my list.(Sheldrick, fwiw)
If I could summarise in one word a major difference between Taylor and Poholke, it is awareness. Taylor has this in spades. For Poholke it was all but non existent. Really looking forward to watching Taylor develop and see what he brings in a few years time.Poholke superior athletically and quicker, just not the natural footballer that Taylor is.
I think Poholke was another player that just lacked the absolute desire to be the best he could re an AFL career.
I would think (hope) that would have been the case.I'm glad GC didn't take Rachele on that basis unless we were then able to pick up a genuine midfield prospect the likes of Josh Goater, Mitch Knevitt or Connor McDonald as well because obviously there would have to have been a pick in at least the 20's coming with the NWM pick for a pick as high as ours..

Haggis & Steve McCrystal vs Simon Dalrymple & Kinnear Beatson....Some very, very experienced recruiters there.I thought it every interesting that Haggis was open about a player they DIDN'T rate, who went much higher than on their ratings.
History would indicate recruiters Simon Dalrymple & Kinnear Beatson don't get it real wrong too often...Time will tell.To be fair if you asked who I think will end up being a 1st round bust he'd be first on my list.
If any of those early 20's pick midfielders come on Sydney are gonna look stupid
And some want to replace them ... as if we can just go down to the recruiter shop.Haggis & Steve McCrystal vs Simon Dalrymple & Kinnear Beatson....Some very, very experienced recruiters there.
He also had Taylor at 12, one position after Sheldrick.Knightmare had Sheldrick and Alleer both in his first round of power rankings.
Knightmare isn't particularly credible though, is he?Knightmare had Sheldrick and Alleer both in his first round of power rankings.
No, and Sheldrick does feel like a Swans player.History would indicate recruiters Simon Dalrymple & Kinnear Beatson don't get it real wrong too often...Time will tell.

Doesn't watch much football, has some odd ratings. Didn't he say Greenwood was one of the best players in the AFL this year?
Hint: he's not.
He also doesn't watch any footy outside of Victoria. I mean that's fair enough in recent times. He doesn't really subscribe to a lot of the group think that goes on.
He had a couple in his first round that almost no one else online did.

Not if you weren't a port supporter.Highlights package hey ....watching him live was way better
No, nothing has changed .....moreso gameplans, which require a different type of player, .....but the greats would have been great today ...because they had the traits of todays footballer, playing in a much slower game back 40 years
How many players can kick 40+ mtrs now with any accuracy .....they've become 15-20mtr specialists ...anything 40+ is just in the general vacinity
I still believe the innovative coach's can still manufacture space .....it's just that they all play follow the leader, and look to close down spaceDunstall use to have a paddock to lead into.
Wouldn't have it now.
If the players just try a bit harder it should all work out...I still believe the innovative coach's can still manufacture space .....it's just that they all play follow the leader, and look to close down space
Could a club like GEEL with Hawkins play one out in the goal square .....of course they could .....but they get caught in a defensive mindset .....Scott just keeps repeating the same mistakes, hoping for a different result
Not if you weren't a port supporter.
The art of kicking to space can make Key Forwards.
Ebert kicking to Evans was sublime.
High rotations and interchanges don't allow much room on the fat side of the ground. Plus coaches want the defensive set up in place before going hard into the forward line makes it easier for opposition to zone off.
Dunstall use to have a paddock to lead into.
Wouldn't have it now.
What made Petracca so effective in the GF. Able to go long quickly and even if to the slight advantage of the forward put massive pressure on the defence.
Dawson kicking lasers to Tex TT and Fog should have a massive impact
Where did he have Kai Lohmann? He doesn't really subscribe to a lot of the group think that goes on.
He had a couple in his first round that almost no one else online did.

Many people would have committed sin at the archerJust seen Sinn at the Archer tonight.
