So guessing maybe it was Charlie Dean as another "mature age" defender? And once he was gone we went back to Davis?

We can bag the Davis selection but it’s on the club for only given him games at the end in defence when he looked ok. He should have been tried earlier there and then we’d definitively know.

Nankervis was obviously the last guy we wanted, and they felt they needed a mature guy who knew the system in the final list spot.

I probably agree with mature body, but I'd have rather they took Tom Lewis or Corey Voss or SOMEONE that might surprise us and stay on the list.

I think AFL lists need an overhaul, because the "rookie draft has become comical"

Also think if the AFL want a reserves competition they need to increase the list sizes

Feels like we've definitely changed tactics on the rookie draft and used it to re-draft players for depth or gone for mature age players who we think we'll be solid, rather than pure project players like it felt we did quite a lot prior to the last 5 years or so.

He looked ok, in probably the easiest position on the ground in which we have far better prospects. But hey maybe 6th years the charm.
