Yeah, I know theirs a contrast in these 2. A small forward and a big tall mid. If for argument's sake we do get pick 27 off the pies, then id make one amendment, Long out (who I had at pick 38) and Motlop or Knevitt in. I'd go Motlop first, purely to give us a good balance of picks. 2 tough mids, 1 key forward, 1 key back and a small dynamic forward.

26 - Williams
27 - Motlop or Knevitt

If he's anything like Jarman maybe we can pay him in pies? Would help with our salary cap. We just let a couple of surplus small forwards go in Butler and Higgins and sent Dan Rioli down back. We've got MJR ready to explode so we have greater needs in almost every other position. I'm hoping we get Amiss with our 1st pick we need quality KPF.

Just on the pies, I don't think North will bid on daicos but think GWS will, so 2517 points - 20% disc = 2017 points needed by the pies

I left out pick 27 from the below points total.

Pies other picks 36, 43, 46, 48, 55, 58 = 1890 points
Picks 78, 79 are worth nothing.

Surely they do the deal with us, we get pick 27 (worth 703 points) and they get in return picks 38 and 40 (worth 894 points), a net points gain for the pies of 194

Dogs should be fine points wise. They get something for Lipinski and the picks they have will move forward (be worth more points) after Pies match the Daicos bid (unless the very unlikely happens and Darcy is bid on before Daicos). Dogs more likely to trade a future pick to get back in the draft after they match Darcy imo.

God we keep overrating dead ordinary players. RCD just does not get enough possession. His lack of tank is an excuse. If he wasn’t an early pick, he’d be off the list.

No player impacts a game for 4 Qs every game of the Season plus Finals...that's a sure way to burn out...impact a Q with two/three goals thats a good start...then the team gets a roll on...take him off...rest...return...

I can't see the Pies doing a pick swap until draft night. They have 6 live picks but will lose 1 for Lipinski.

That means they will need to free up 5 lists spots for the draft. They have only 1 spot free at the moment with retirement of 3 players but will have traded in Lipinski and Krueger.

Therefore will need to delist or trade 4 players from the following players.

Cox, Thomas the 2 obvious ones with tough decisions on the others if they don't trade out any.

Well, that's the question with this guy. He's a 180cm (same height as Hobbs) 'small forward' who also impacts in the midfield. He's also arguably the best kick in the draft. He could go anywhere from 5-15 imo.

I think our board would be doing cartwheels if Ward slipped to our pick, all the talk is about the Tigers moving up in the draft to snaffle him.

Not so sure about taking Wilmot with Short/Stack/Rioli and Mansell already taking that position, would have preferred Chesser personally.

Don't know anything about the others but Aleer would fill a need.

I dream of two top 10 picks where we take the best mid early and then this kid. Imagine him, Shai and Dusty terrorising defenders over the next few years. We're in a rare position, three recent flags and a fat draft hand...this kid would be a luxury pick if it pans out.

It might be Miller, Biggie or Cumberland that we leave unsigned ie delisted to allow us taking 6 picks.
Still reckon at least one pick gets traded out for futures, 5 new players drafted along with the "delistee" redrafted.

Sounds good in theory but dogs will be getting a pick back for Lipinski, pies have offered pick 58 lol
If we did the deal with dogs they only get an extra 80 points from it, sure it's better for us but doubt they will do it, pies on the other hand are more likely.

It may well be draft night but we all believe that 38 and 40 will be traded either before draft night or on draft night, nonetheless pick 27 would be awesome to get as it would give us 26, 27, 28

Pies handling of their list and player payments have been disastrous.
For most of those pics 36, 43, 46, 48, 55, 58, (points will be eaten up on Daicos), they have offered pick 58 to Dogs, low balling so not sure what will happen there. I don't think they will take more than 3 players in the draft, as last year they picked 8 kids, 6 in the ND and 2 in the RD

Daicos plus 2 others, that's why i hope we get 27 and they get 38 and 40 off us.

Btw Parker has resigned with the club.
