I really wonder if we'll target a KPF, or just take the best available. And if there is a genuine A grade tall take them. Otherwise try to rebuild the midfield for post Cotch etc.

A top line midfield is necessary to win finals. A top line KPF isn't necessary to win the GF, but really helps a lot.

And it's easier to get good mids than good KPs.

Glad I'm not the list manager, I'd be second guessing myself this year.

I desperately want to find a replacement for Riewoldt, but I definitely don't want us to reach to try and do it. Think of what happened with St Kilda and their Riewoldt and Paddy McCartin, or the Western Bulldogs with Chris Grant and Jarrad Grant. I really hope someone falls within our draft range but if no-one does I also hope our recruiters don't succumb to the pressure of finding a successor to Jack and stick to best available. Even if we are talking mids.

I agree with that unfortunately. Given our points we'll get some offers to trade into 2022 and will likely take them

Pretty sure our guys rated this years crop better than 2020. Maybe 22 trumps both but reckon we’ll have to wait and see what the U19-Championships turns up, which is being played a lot later this year

KM actually had Shai Bolton at #21 in his phantom draft in 2016
He had him the highest of all the mock drafts including the media

We will have 3 very good picks and possibly 4 depending on what is available during a trade

Im happy to take 3 picks but rather 4 if we can trade our later picks to upgrade our 2nd rounder or trade out our 2nd plus the 2 x 3rd rounders for an upgrade of 2022 1st rounder

4 picks inside 30 is a very good draft hand
