Just found this, could be pretty spot on:

I don't think so. Based on what Twomey has said on Road to the Draft (he seems to be the most knowledgeable in terms of what clubs are looking at doing):
  • If the Giants take Callaghan, then the Suns will take one of Hobbs or Andrew.
  • If the Giants take Andrew or Gibcus, then the Suns will take Callaghan.

Still a long way to go before the draft, but I'm starting to think Gibcus is the one that slides to us. I know we want a mid, but if all of Callaghan/Hobbs/Ward/Rachelle are gone then I think we'd take the key defender before we reached into that next tier of mids.

1. NM - Horne-Francis
2. WB - Darcy
3. COL - Daicos
4. GWS - Callaghan
5. GC - Andrew
6. ADE - Hobbs
7. HAW - Ward
8. FRE - Rachelle
9. RIC - Gibcus

From all the commentary, It’s all going to come down to where/if GWS select Andrew

I call rubbish as GCS stated they'd take Callaghan if he wasn't taken by GWS.

If it ends up that way I hope we go Erasmus over Gibcus. I like Gibcus and think he will be elite at the next level but Erasmus could be anything and is a great size for an inside out mid

If they are that keen on Andrew, then Gold Coast's intentions may make it difficult for them to drop down to pick 9 and give us pick 2.

I think we'd probably have to promise GWS we'd take Hobbs with the pick to get them to give it to us. If we got pick 2 and went with Callaghan over Hobbs, then there's a reasonable risk that the next player on GC's board is Andrew and GWS misses out. However if we take Hobbs, then GC takes Callaghan and Andrew is a good chance to slide on past Adelaide, Hawthorn and Freo down to GWS at 9.

If GWS prefer Callaghan at pick 2, and GC's next preference is Andrew, then its probably pretty safe for them to do a deal with us to drop down, for the same reasons as above.

From what I've read, I'm probably leaning the other way. Erasmus' disposal can be a bit iffy, and Gibcus is Victorian which is worth factoring in.

I think Tiges only do that deal on the night, and only if they can't get Pick 2 from GWS AND one of Hobbs or Ward are still on the table.

My guess is that we would take Pick 7 & 15 for Pick 4.

Yeah i guess it comes down to respective recruiting managers, but Richmond seem to be making it pretty well known that you're looking to trade up.

Of course, you would take 7 and 15 for pick 4, but you would have to also throw in 33.
I doubt we would be giving up 2 first rounders to move up 3 spots (even if we are wanting to improve our hand), unless something was coming back our way.

I like Gibcus too
Great size
Will be interesting if he’s available at our pick cause like you if he fell to 9 I think we would take him as the best available talent on the board

Just can’t see Gold Coast passing him up

Graham is not in our best dozen players, which you'd want your pick 7 to be. He is a good role player who has potential to improve, hopefully this year, but he is not game buster. Bolton, Stack, Balta type talent is what you want with a first draft pick I would have thought.

When Cotch, Jack and Edwards retire, who is going to be ‘clearly’ better than Graham?

Martin, Bolton, Balta, Grimes, Prestia, Lynch, Vlastuin….

Of course you want an Uber elite player, but if Callaghan, Ward and Hobbs are gone by our pick and you asked would I take a Graham equivalent, I’d do that every day of the week.

Graham is a solid player, but I'd be quite disappointed if a solid player was all we got out of a top 10 pick. You'd want to be getting a Vlastuin level player, minimum.

Who's attacking him. You obviously rate him very highly, some like myself rate parts of his game, yes he is tough and does a power of running and team work, but in 5 years he would never have a single best on.

But for an early/mid first rounder I'd hope for something a bit more exciting or a bit of a gun.

Do yourself a favour …. scan the list of picks 6-10 from the last decade. I’d say there are only 25% of players you’d want before Graham, and that’s being generous. And I’m certain his best football is ahead of him - I don’t see any reason why he can’t be a Boak or similar quality player.

Good thinking all around, but for mine I hope we don't go too hard on improving our hand for next year at the expense of this year's draft.

We need something really good to top us off in the right now whilst our window still exists (a Ward or Hobbs could do that), but also, the sooner we start our mini rebuild the better. There will be more footy exposure next year which will make drafting "easier" (for want of a better word), but we should capitalise now I reckon.
I wouldn't be trading into next year unless we're offered a trade you can't say no to. As I've said repeatedly I see this draft as the first stage of the rebuilding on the fly. We're going to bring in 5 top 30 rated kids, can't recall a time a premiership contender has been able to do that, while still in their window without trading out stars. We have been able to achieve it by moving on fringe players, some we wanted to keep and others who chose to explore other options, which holds us in good stead.

One thing I would be saying though is we should be holding off on the expectations that pick 7 will tip us over the edge as far as being a contender is concerned. Remember these kids are coming off 2 years of limited development so it's highly unlikely that any kid we bring in this year is going to hit the ground running.

For mine our keys to whether we're a legit contender or mid pack pretender is how the likes of RCD Ross Dow Martyn Miller Ryan Parker Ralphsmith go that will make or break us.

I think too many people have false hope - from just 2013 to 2017 (enough time to make an impact) here are some of the selections from the top-10 (50 players) …. and people don’t want Graham at what becomes pick-9..??

I do think Graham has the potential to move up a tier due to the fact that he has played games where he has hit the 30+ mark, twice. Hopefully he does it on a more regular basis going forward. He has attributes that are as good as anyone in the team but I find him limited. Vlas/Grimes/Prestia/Martin/Riewoldt/Cotchin/Edwards/Short/Lynch/Balta/Bolton/Lambert/Stack/Nankervis and maybe Broad, are all more talented players in my opinion.
I hope he becomes a Boak type, agreed his best footy is ahead of him.

I wouldn't mind if the club nabbed the 2 WA boys with our first 2 picks.

If Freo pick Eramus (as I think they will), I'd pick Amiss & Van Rooyen.

I'd then pick 3 mids with our picks in the 20's

That's just me though.
Guess there’s a world where we pick Erasmus at 7, Van Rooyen at 15 and then Bazzo and Sheldrick with the 20’s picks
