Hes only just started to look like becoming settled in the back half though. I think this role suits him, he'll be fed the ball out of the back half and led to do it by other players.I’ve wanted to see Rioli on the wing. He was elite for speed and endurance in his draft year.

You know what's an underrated skill though? Goal kicking accuracy. This guy is very reliable. He's touted top 10.I have issues with 195cm KPF struggling to kick 45mtrs
Plus all his goals are colts games and am yet to see him really tested at a higher level
Not saying he is no good but just something about him that makes me want to avoid unless its our 2nd pick
Can everyone else...Can live with that.
If we do get pick 2 I hope we bid on Daicos at 2 and Darcy at 3 before selecting Callaghan at 4 to keep the bastards honest.

Plus Riewoldt had the same knocks on distance. Remember his kick after the siren v Stkilda at the start of his career? Could only just kick 50. Distance is all about technique once you have the leg weight down pat. Momentum, timing and core rotation can be taught. Ill back our elite development program. Name a single 195cm fwd who cant kick over 45m!You know what's an underrated skill though? Goal kicking accuracy. This guy is very reliable. He's touted top 10.
Agree. Mids arnt hard to find. Quality talls areStarting to warm to the idea of going for Gibcus to be honest.
I've been harping on about the midfield being a big need, but drafting Gibcus would mean our tall defenders are set for a decade. We can still get some very good midfield kids at 15 26 27 28, but the best defender also being a local VIC boy will have us set for KPD. We could then go mids at 15 and two of the picks in the 20s, and grab a key forward in there as well.
I dunno though, we really do need quality mids...
Has Shifter ever said a bad word about any draft prospect, all-stars in the making![]()
Yeah but it will be 9 to 4 and we will have paid a fortune for Bling![]()
How much would it be worth to upgrade pick 8 in this draft to a top 3 pick? Let’s not get caught up in phantom draft hype the talent bottoms out pretty quickly in most drafts and after that handful of top picks it’s a real lottery.
We’ve got a good chance to get up the draft and get a genuinely top end talent, no point wasting it.

Then none are worth drafting as RCD is shithouse.None of the draftees we'll have a chance to draft will likely be any better than RCD over the next couple of seasons.

Too easy innit?Just give us another dusty at pick 7 that'll do.

Hobbs
Sinn
Van Rooyen
Sonsie
Taylor
That's probably a best case scenario for us and low chance of happening
Which is why I said best case scenario and quoted an article stating them players in that range.Highly unlikely JVR and Sonsie make late twenties for starters

Wiry frames are good for longevity: look at the 400 gamers. And usually pretty strong.Wiry frame but strong through the shoulders (Plenty to work with)...
Mason Cox. And I still don’t think commentators have worked it out yet.Momentum, timing and core rotation can be taught. Ill back our elite development program. Name a single 195cm fwd who cant kick over 45m!
people on here really need to let this one go. He is a Key defender and when we need to fill the forward line with extra tall bodys he wil move foward late in a game.No but a second year player might. Gibcus in a year might enable Balta to go forward. IF Amiss is any good would be happy to see him at our first pick. As Richoplzbreed said, we have precious little backup backup.
Easier ways to tell people you haven't watched the gameThe thing with Hobbs is who was he competing with to get the ball at Country in terms of teammates? Couldn't really see someone challenging him. Also against Daicos and Ward who are slightly different in terms of opposition. For example Daicos had Ward, who did Hobbs have? The way Ward behaved on the field Ward said, I know who Daicos is, I know who my other teammates are, but I can win the ball and I want to make a big impact on games to. Who did Hobbs have for Country challenging him in that way? Knevitt was a different type, Goater was less inside. Set ruck scenario which can skew inside prowess.
. Knevitt is a different type, but still largely a stoppage accumulator, Goater isn't even a Country prospect and Connor Macdonald, another decent inside Country prospect, ran through the midfield with Hobbs for most of the game, not to mention Rachele in the second half as wellI think Magic likes a challenge thoughEasier ways to tell people you haven't watched the game.
