In my initial 5 picks of a month ago, I did have both Williams and Bazzo but I've made a tweak, only going one tall on pick 27, the rest being mids, crafty forwards and running backs/wings. In the week of the draft, ill give my preferred draftees for each pick but now provide a broad wishlist for each pick.
Any combination of the below and ill be doing cartwheels.

Are you all confident that we can nab at least one of these players for each of our picks? if so, would you still be willing to package 7 and 15 for a top 5 pick? I would only contemplate it if it was 7, 15 and a future first (gws won't except any of 26/27/28) for GWS 2 & 13 or 7 and 26 for Crows 4 & 33.
On reflection, getting crows 4 and 33 is more appealing, as not giving up a future first and I'm confident enough that a player who we think is likely to go in the mid 20's could slide into the 30's
If we cant snare a deal like that then look for a top 20 pick, i.e (17 to 20), package 27/28 or 28 and a future 2nd round pick (tied to Richmonds pick, not Norths).

The level of talent up to 30 is profound, a few nuggets will slide and we'll be ready to pounce especially with our trio of picks in the 2nd round. (if we don't trade 1 or 2 of those picks).

26 - Chesser/Tom Browne/MacDonald/Murley

By the sounds of that GWS are going to take Andrew at pick 2. Which will push Callaghan to Adelaide at 3 I would be guessing. Interesting they have Rachele in the top bracket of players and not Hobbs, or ward.

I read that very differently.

GWS want the best player they can get, who fits in with their squad. Callaghan is more outside and forward, and possibly a bit unlike their mainly see ball get ball midfield. Gibcus = a KPD that they will need a few years. Rachele pure talent to improve their ability to score without dominating the midfield (like Greene without the stupidity). Andrew = future ruck forward with sky high potential.

I'd read that article as saying they are likely to go for the player that can fill a hole in their list. Right here and now I'd guess that Callaghan is that guy. For the future the other 3 come in. To me if they select Callaghan that frees them up to move on another midfielder (or 2) in a trade (or 2). GWS has options most other clubs don't.

What they really need is a genuine mature top end KPF - which isn't what they can draft. So look at both their current list and what they can do into the future.

I more or less agree with your take.

I read it that they are sick of drafting gun midfielders who then can't get a game, so have their eye on someone who is not a pure onballer (I don't pay attention to any of the bios this far from the draft, so no idea who that might be). From that it seems like they are courting offers to trade back a few spots in the draft and still get who they want. I think they realise the risk is on them getting gazumped so they really want to extort the absolute best deal they can get just in case.

Gibcus athleticism is off the charts, intercept defenders are so valuable in today's game and he is well worthy of a top 10 selection.

Gibcus touted as top 5-10 from a fir way out and 195cm kpp
Conca was looked at as a 2nd rounder until Richmond plucked him from nowhere and 181cm mid/hb

I'd be happy too forgo pick 7 this year to be honest.It seems its likely you could get the same result with a player in the teens as you would from pick 5 onwards.
If it happens it has to be to our advantage.
Freo would love 7 to go along with 6 & 8
W/coast would love to be that wedge.
Bris keen to offload their future 1st.

If we are deadset on midfielders with all of the second rounders and reckon one or two could push for senior selection quickly, I'd be keen on Gibcus at 7. He and Balta would have our defence looking fantastic for a decade and more. But if Ward/Hobbs are there, probably have to get one.
