Is Hobbs a clear favorite to land at Tigers at pick 7 ? Are you guy confident he'll still be there at that pick ?
Wondering if Hawks and Tigers look to trade early picks. Hawks 5 & 21, Tigers 7 & 15. Tigs move up and get better chance of nabbing Hobbs and still have a premium pick in the low 20's. Points wise it works out almost exactly the same. Do Tigers do this deal ? As a Hawk unless we're sold on Ward or Erasmus I'd do this deal.
Personally i dont believe be are that 'into' him nd its just the media putting 2 and 2 together and ending up with 6
Richmond need inside mid accumulator hobbs is that player and will be at that range.

Richmond trying to trade upto #2 indicates to me Finn Callaghan is the player we really want and is the only player we would trade upto get otherwise take picks as they fall and if Callaghan was available at the Hawks pick then the Hawks would just take him and not trade.

Daicos , JHF , Darcy , gone first 3 picks leaving 6 teams
GC wont be looking at Hobbs
Crows - I also doubt with the players they currently have in that role
Hawks - Mitchell , Worpel and 3 other players also similar inside roles
Freo - I very very much doubt that
GWS - No Chance

If Hobbs is Gone then that would mean 1 of Ward , Gibcus , Rachele is still available and just take the best rated

Yeh, thats a fair call. It would take 7 & 15 to get your hands on Pick 2 to get Calla. Wonder if you'd do that. I think GWS would, they'd get Mac or Gibcus and potentially Goater also. Best thing AFL ever did was introduce live pick trading. Makes the draft much more intriguing.

I would think GWS would much rather trade with freo for

#2 + #13 for #6 + #8

Freo would get Callaghan + Amiss
GWS would get Rachele + Andrew

Kaden Harbour. Richmond has been speaking to him. Could be a chance. Would need to come with a later pick.

Kaden Harbour
East Perth, WAFL / John Forest SC
State: Western Australia
Height: 178cm
Weight: 78kg
Date of Birth: 26/09/03

Small forward who is quick and agile with an impressive natural leap. At ground level he is a one-touch player whose second efforts and tackling are also strengths of his game. Has progressed to play a couple of reserves games this year after playing 13 matches at under-18s level where he averaged 12.2 disposals and kicked 17 goals. Was lively as a pressure forward for Western Australia in two of its wins over South Australia at under-19s level, averaging 9.5 disposals and 3.5 tackles. His slick 2.99 seconds for 20 metres at the NAB AFL Draft Combine in Perth rounded out his impressive athletic profile. Kaden-Harbour-U19-Champs.jpeg

the biggest draw back from Mac Andrew is that his value will drop a far bit even if he plays 15 -20 games. The comp does not value rucks that highly. Medium/ tall forwards and Midfielders hold value.

/facepalm

No offence to the kid on a personal level, BUT LITERALLY THE LAST TYPE OF PLAYER WE NEED TO GET BACK TO WHERE WE BELONG.....

Edit: Noticed you said with a later pick. I hope that's their plan. If they mean to pick him in the 20s then I'll be gobsmacked.

Ward and Gibcus over Rachele. Rachele reminds me too much of Menzel

Gibcus dosent play much if at all next year. Ward, Hobbs, Finn could play most games given how average our midfield is

Actually if we stay fit our midfield is damn hard to break into. Especially if the young guys step up one level - not stars just noticeable improvement.

I don’t think our midfield is that average. Just haven’t been fit and firing all at the same time. Good chance we miss out on all three of those mids

The point I was making is that we shouldn't miss Andrews just cause we have Ryan. Ryan is low chance of making it whilst Andrews is very talented. We need to developing ruck so if he is there we jump

RUCK. We have Nank, Soldo, Ryan and Mate - all young.

The last thing we need are more rucks.

KPFs yes, we need quality there.

Rucks we have plenty for the next 5 years +

KPFs yes, we need quality there.

Rucks we have plenty for the next 5 years +

We have Nank;
Soldo coming back from a major knee reco after only just establishing himself as a senior player;
Ryan who has played one game and looked completely out of his depth; and
A basketballer that hasn't played a game for 5 years.

So respectfully to say we don't need another ruck is wrong.

Josh Goater interest from clubs inside top 15 is gaining momentum. I would love to get him at our pick 15. His size and athleticism is going to be a handful for a midfield. Would likely slot into our best 22 as next season went on.
Personally im leaning towards the Gibcus selection at pick 7. This kid is an athletic beast, and his interception game is as good at junior level since Jake Lever. Letting him develop under the tutelage of Grimes and Tarrant would be a great start to a new generation of a backline.
Picks 26,27,28 is a bit of a raffle, but if a Zac Taylor and Tyler Sonsie combo is available I would be happy to see them both taken. Both extremely high IQ footballers along with beautiful ball users.
Gibcus-7
Goater-15
Sonsie-26
Taylor-27
Aliir-28 (bit of a long shot but his athleticism is also off the charts and if a future backline came off with aliir and Gibcus it would be pretty special.)
