Who in the media is running with Hobbs to Richmond though? Cal Twomey who’s one of the best with his draft intel said we haven’t spoken to Hobbs for six months.

North drafted Will Phillips last year despite hardly speaking with him so I’m not saying we won’t draft Hobbs but I’ve read several people mention the media have been reporting we’re drafting Hobbs but who’s actually said Hobbs is our target? I think he’s just been naturally linked with teams who have picks around where he’s listed on most power rankings.

Key forward Amiss is also in the mix and would address another glaring need. Goater would be difficult to resist if he fell to Richmond’s second selection, or will the the Tigers pounce on another Butler? As for their trio of picks in the 30s, Richmond has shown interest in crafty forward Motlop, while Bazzo could come into the equation as a tall defender.

We already know that if they do that they are taking Howes and pick #13 is gone so it just leaves 1 pick #14 between the 2 and to give up extra for a 1 pick upgrade is just silly.

I think it’s moreso the obvious link between Cotch and Edward’s coming to the end and Prestia injury prone and our need to beef up our clearance ability. Hobbs is seen as the best fit and obvious choice at around our pick. If we don’t pick Hobbs or another midfielder I would then bank in us having Tom Green or something similar in the pipeline.

we were keen on hobbs as well but thought that JVR and bazzo would be gone between our 2nd and 3rd picks and were always 100% on sonsie at our 2nd pick if he were to make it there, so looking back taking gibcus first was a very good decision

and then chesser almost made it to our 3 in a row, but happy with the brown/macdonald/taylor picks, was no worthwhile talls remaining there and we weren't the biggest fan of williams/conway/alleer at that pick and thought if we need ruck cover at the vfl level to let samson play fwd then can just get a mature age ruck/fwd for vfl until colina can run out games in the ruck
