"We are now joined by the coach of the <insert club name here> who has been all about.bringing the fun back to the club so far in the offseason. Coach, how in earth did you come up with this approach, and is it true that <insert captains name> might tell a few jokes at the team huddles on match day???"
At the start of Draft Day with Kevin Costner he writes down the name of a player on a piece of paper and it saysno matter what.Vontae Mack
I'm taking the same view here. My very first thought regards the draft was Josh Ward and I'm sticking with him no matter what. The one thing our next generation midfield is missing is a player who can wrack up touches and Ward can do just that I know it's unlikely that we land him but then again stranger things have happened. As for the rest of our draft picks, I've gone off picking any of the talls with the exception of Gibcus at our first pick if Ward & Hobbs are both gone.
My final wish list:
First pick - Ward
Second pick - Johnson
Third pick - Taylor
Fourth pick - Macdonald
Fifth pick - Sheldrick
If we can and the above 5 players I believe our next generation midfield will be complete and we can then start to focus on acquiring our next generation KPPs.
We have 5 picks within the top 30. Unless we are doing a deal to get a pick around 16-20 (using our 2nd rounders), or for example doing a deal with the crows trading our 7 & 26 for their 4 & 33, I would not entertain in giving up any of our 2nd rounders for a 3rd rounder and a future 2nd rounder, there's just too much talent on the board from the late 20's to the 30's.

Erasmus is a mid who can play fwd very well thank you. He has also been prolific when it comes to getting the pill and probably has more upside than most with a very late birth date. For me his size and scope for improvement is tantalising.
you do not belong here, that is far too much sense, get out!!!
so 5 guys that likely won’t be available? At the start of Draft Day with Kevin Costner he writes down the name of a player on a piece of paper and it saysno matter what.Vontae Mack

Dees wanted to trade into this draft due to not having a first rounder as they previously traded it out the year before. Why would they now trade it out again?Melbournes pick 17 for our 2022 north 2nd pick and a third.
So we’ve drafted one good forward in my time… that’s a very very poor strike rate, like astronomically bad.
I know Jack is the upper echelon and they’re pretty rare, but we’ve basically drafted no one a tier down from him, we’ve only had forwards perhaps two to three tiers down. Not good.
so 5 guys that likely won’t be available?
Mine are as follows;
JHF
Callaghan
Ward
Johnson
Darcy

Tigers should just have a last minute meeting with Amiss tomorrow morningPlease FREO pick Amiss before our pick!
"Should the Hawks take Ward, the Dockers look likely to grab key forward Jye Amiss, but Fremantle could also be forced to consider its drafting strategy mindful of who the Tigers are interested in with their pick wedged between their pair of selections".
