Not sure how that scenario of lending players to oppo clubs would work...
Talk about a trojan horse gathering oppo intell for the lending coach/team to be privy to when they return.....
Whose injured...which oppo player is surplus to playing needs...game tactics...assistant coaches possible future move...

Happens in other sports, they'd need to be there for a fair while to digest it all, and we really are only talking about short-term fixes or long-term projects.

With the amount of analysis that goes on these days, plans don't stay secret for long anyway. Can't remember who it is attributed to but there's a great quote (old NFL coach I think) about being happy to share his playbook with the opposition, it's the execution that matters...

Splitting our draft resources into 2022 should be the objective at this stage . Spreading the risk would be optimal

CCJ trade I am starting to think will be a 2022 Draft Pick, which makes sense as we already have 6 very good picks and will get the Chol compo too. I see some creative trading to get some better picks for next year as well. I still think we take 4 or 5 draft picks this year.

Hoping we pick up Mackenzie Cowley with a later pick. Ended up kicking 27 goals in 10 games for Tongala as a 17 year old against the men. Kicked 2 bags of 6.

I’ll be honest I’ve never seen the kid play but why wasn’t he playing NAB League if he was doing so well?

I had him around the 12-15 mark but hearing he could be a very early selection. Rising up the boards. Adelaides first could be where he lands. Combo mid who does everything well. Nice size at 185cm and very good skills and good above head. Doesn’t find it as much as others but that could come.

I rate Wanganeen-Milera highly but you don't use a top-10 pick on a purely outside player. Sonsie is a better bet if we want pace and skill. His 'concerning' 'quiet' game he had about the same number of touches as W-M's average.

It’s hard to see him getting drafted or the club even taking him. I was purely just speaking on the club being able to take him as a category B rookie of they wanted too and he did go undrafted.

Pretty sure that rule was a one-off. NGA prospects have to be taken in the national/rookie drafts now

Talk was he was in and out of the first team because of his lack of knowing whether he wanted to do all the work needed to play AFL or if he even wanted to play in the AFL.

Kid has bags of potential but he might just end up the star of the country footy league.
