He is younger and probably still has a bit more growth being a December 2003 baby
the question mark on him has been his agility and athleticism i believe.

Jacob Van Rooyen is the player im most hoping for
195cm 90kgs already and good athleticism and has that ability to leap over packs April 2003 baby so should get to 196/197cm
which is the perfect height for a FF/CHF

Why not take both if we can trade up to get the doggies pick
Watching some Van Rooyen highlights he’s a nice mover for a tall, very smooth and looks to have good foot skills.

In an interview he said that he tries to model his game on Jack Riewoldt, so he may be the perfect Jack replacement.

Best available mids at first 3 picks plesse.
Not balanced enough, we need to fill a few holes and we also need to give RCD, Martyn, Dow, Ralphsmith, Baker a chance to press their claim. We definitely need at least 1 though, and probably our first pick.

I would rather Erasmus & Van Rooyen with our 2 picks or even Goater with the geelong pick
All of the above players will make a contribution in 2022
Impossible to say their impact in 2022 this far out, but I agree with the types of players. I think our first 2 picks need to be some combination of good sized midfielder and KPF.

picks: 8, 17, 25, 26, 40, 44, 80, 98

Have to nail those 6 picks up to 40 set us up well.Maybe combine 26 and 26 for a top 12 pick possible ?.

Williams sounds the more rounded tall , he plays multiple roles. Also have read he’s one of the youngest players in the draft. Listed at 195 now he could still have some more growth.
The type that could end up st either end of the ground.
Balta having a bad day down back.
Switch around.
Balta>>>Williams.
Like it.

8. Bodhi Uwland (Gold Coast - Academy)
Best position: Inside midfield/general defence
Height, weight:185cm, 84kg
Recruited from: Gold Coast
Projected draft range: 20-60
Plays like: Luke Hodge
July ranking: 12
Rationale: With the way he has shown he can impact games in his two NAB League matches and with how he has held his own and progressed in the VFL since, Uwland's stocks should only continue to rise as scouts in clubland see more of him. With his damaging and penetrating kick, contested ball winning and how he bursts through stoppages and shrugs tackles so easily, there is sizeable scope to develop.
Strengths:
Penetrating and damaging but reliable kick
Kicks placed out to the advantage side for teammates to lead onto
Decision making with ball in hand
Vision
Contested ball winning
Powerful shrugging of tackles
Aggression
Physical edge
Evasion
Agility
Acceleration
Leap
Versatility to impact games either through the midfield, defence or across half-forward
Weaknesses:
Endurance
Work rate
