Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
This is our prime need IMO. We have enough flankers that go through the midfield as it is, we need some pure inside mids.Sinn is a top liner. Absolutely.
At 7, I want a bonafide midfielder though. It’s what we need. Sinn may turn into one, maybe, I do see him best off halfback, but there is some big time ball winning midfielders who will be available for us and I think at this point, I want one of them.
when ever i suggest a player everyone one here gets emotional "tHeY ArE a pRem pLaYer aNd tHeY dEseReVe tO reTirE aT tHe cLuB"
and Just beacuse Hawks f'ed it up dosent mean our football departemnt would and people need to get used to a professional football business strategy.
Are you still on this? it will never happen, for 1 GWS or any other team would have no interest in effectively reversing a trade that works for them & we'd be stupid to do it in the 1st place. No1 is ever going to help another Club extend or enhance their window!Have you not read my posts?
We do not have to give away any players.
We trade some players to GWS, get some players from GWS, trade them back in 2023 or 2024 and nothing changes except we get picks 2 and 13 and adjust a few club payments for players and GWS get a great chance to win in 2022 against Bulldogs and Melbourne while we develop our youngsters before the next surge when we get the players back in the switch

Who in their right mind is trading Lynch now? Who in their right mind is trading him back to us in 2-3 yrs when we are "in our window" again? If we trade Lynch out we are reversing a FA movement from the Gold Coast to another club because we think we can't win in 2022.
Clubs are in one business winning premierships or setting up to win premierships.
Everything else is a malaise

Erasmus / Goater / Long192cm athletic freak would be perfect.
Jeremy Cameron? We could have not offered Prestia a contract, Caddy goes next year if not his year, Lynch traded out reverses when they came in as an example.
Clubs have in and outs all the time depending on where they think they are at. Look at the NBA
Its funny because Lipinski is going to the Pies, Stephens possibly to the Pies if not staying at the Swans and CCJ is possibly go to North so RFC is not a destination club except for pensioners. What does that say about our future prospects? Who wants to be Geelong?
Why should fans be forced to watch RFC become a aged care home like Geelong?
Morgan Ferres?Well I guess I meant more like a ~190cm forward that isn’t ruck height. I feel like our main young forwards are either ruck height or on the shorter end.
Only one really is Hugo Ralphsmith, who is 188cm apparently, but I believe that we play him more as a midfielder than a forward
Bit of chat that we're interested in Mitch Owens from the Sandy Dragons, St.Kilda NGA, possible 1st rnd pick. 190cm, 88kgMorgan Ferres?
Only 190 cm tall, but was basically SA's only forward focal point playing CHF against WA.
Should be available with later picks.
The bizarre notion of taking the player we think will turn out the best! I'm on boardWe need this, we need that.
At pick 7, we need a genuine A grader. Another elite player, preferably in the midfield, but we just need to add to the top end of our list as we will be losing a few over the next few years.
Im not into taking a vanilla midfielder over an elite forward at that pick. I do think there will be a mid drop but there is still a bit to play out.
As I see it clubs need to build their list with the following priorities.
1 Midfield and ruck (without quality clearances the forwards and backs will suffer the same fate as Geelong & Port)
2 KPD
3 Wings
4 Lead up forward
5 HB (failed HF flankers, wingers)
6 FF & CHF (not useful until midfield is A class)

I meant clubs in general, forwards are not as important until the other building blocks are in place. Forwards are necessary when you enter your window but this does not mean they shouldn’t be on the list developing.Wait are you saying these should be our list of priorities or clubs in general?
I can agree the midfield is important. But FF & CHF surely have to be 3rd.

This is why we need to go with Jye Amiss - Great kicking skill 51.11 for the year, cafty and smart fwd know how, just like Jack !Fair point. We've obviously been fortunate to have Jack and Richo and then being in a position to attract Tom to the club and fit his salary in to a side that was already very good. But it's also really hard to find good ones and I don't think you can really enter your window without one.
Starting to be in favour of this move. Get the best KPF with our first pick. It’ll be easier in time to attract a star Midfielder than it will be a forwardThis is why we need to go with Jye Amiss - Great kicking skill 51.11 for the year, cafty and smart fwd know how, just like Jack !
I would use pick 7 for Amiss and 15, 26, 28 on the multiple mids with engines or wingers with pure speed that are available.
Yes fully agree with Amiss or if unavailable Williams but our initial need is quality midfielders. This is why we need to go with Jye Amiss - Great kicking skill 51.11 for the year, cafty and smart fwd know how, just like Jack !

Warming to Mac Andrew if we can source another 1st rounder with our later picks.
