Have a sneaky suspicion he's the one @7.(If he's still there).Matthew Roberts showed some some really good signs today.
That was written before Callaghan moved to the midfield and went ballistic. He had 19, 13 and 24 touches in his first three games, at half-back, then 31, 31, 28 in the midfield to win Sandy's B&F with 76 votes (second got 69). Sinn never had more than 20 touches and finished equal 10th in their B&F with 14 votes. An interesting read for those wanting to trade up to pick 2 to secure Callaghan.
Compare the Pair: Finn Callaghan / Josh Sinn (Sandringham Dragons/Vic Metro) - Aussie Rules Draft Central
He'll still be there at 15(17) and I hope we ignore him there too. Sloooow. He had 10 touches yesterday.Have a sneaky suspicion he's the one @7.(If he's still there).
Out of interest who would be your choice? That was written before Callaghan moved to the midfield and went ballistic. If you watch them play you see the difference. Callaghan has time and makes space. He's quick, has great spatial awareness of what's around him and a beautiful jink-step. Sinn is a dasher but more of a straight line player.
He'll still be there at 15(17) and I hope we ignore him there too. Sloooow. He had 10 touches yesterday.
Not as silly as it sounds.Let's get Callaghan. Trade 7 and 15 to the Giants and get the midfielder with the most potential in the draft.
If not Im asking Brisbane how much they want Pick 7. Can't split the guys from 4-20.

At 7(9)? Ward, if he lasts. Which he won't. Or Amiss and then go mids, but he might not be there either given Freo is likely to have the pick before ours. Maybe Sonsie. His quiet NAB League game was 15 disposals in Round 9 after missing 4 games. His other games he had 34 and 2 goals, 21, 21 and 2 goals, and 24 and one goal. He was poor for the AFL Academy vs Geelong reserves, but had 24 and 2 goals on debut for Box Hill. Quick, skillful, goal-kicking mid.Out of interest who would be your choice?
Agree on the classy players. At 7(9)? Ward, if he lasts. Which he won't. Or Amiss and then go mids, but he might not be there either given Freo is likely to have the pick before ours. Maybe Sonsie. Josh Rachele is another I'd consider. Very talented, great kick. Hybrid forward/mid. We could possibly have the chance to get both. The good news is we need quick, classy players and there are plenty of them in this draft.
5 picks ND would be great opportunity to address multiple needsIf we end up trading say CCJ for Tarrant and 38, and end up with 39 for Chol compo, would we be better off trading 38, 39, 40, 44 for Dogs 17/18? Ends up around 1702 points and I don't see us taking more than 5 players in the main draft.
Who of the mids would be compared to Cerra if we are still at him5 picks ND would be great opportunity to address multiple needs

They have announced that you can carry two extra picks for live trading purposes during the draftI see a lot of posts where we offer the dogs a heap of picks for their first rounder.
They won’t have enough list spots to be able to stockpile that many picks so we will need to offer lower picks and less of them to get their pick.
No current season stats available
Sorry can’t answer that question with any authority.Who of the mids would be compared to Cerra if we are still at him
I think you can just sign him if he agrees.Sam Skinner has been impressive for South Adelaide since moving to defence and will be picked up. If we still have our picks in late 30's/early 40's I would be using one on him.
Not sure about that, we could have picked him up in the MSD same as Schlengsog but now they both have to nominate for the draft.I think you can just sign him if he agrees.
There’s been a fair bit of talk about him on different threads, sounds as though he might be on a few clubs radars.Sam Skinner has been impressive for South Adelaide since moving to defence and will be picked up. If we still have our picks in late 30's/early 40's I would be using one on him.
I thought ex AFL can sign on these days like Zac Clarke did for Bummers in that SSP periodNot sure about that, we could have picked him up in the MSD same as Schlengsog but now they both have to nominate for the draft.
Skinner has had 4 ACL's, bit of a risk.

I’m a fan and noticed he didn’t nominate for the MSDNot sure about that, we could have picked him up in the MSD same as Schlengsog but now they both have to nominate for the draft.

Don’t disagree but we will be looking to upgrade picks in my opinion. Especially if we get a reasonable pick from Norf for CCJ and a decent compo pick for losing Chol. Not really fussed if we end up with the doggies pick #17/#18 to be honest as its only 8/9 spots after our #26 and 10 spots after our #28
this years draft pool you could throw a blanket over from picks #15 - #30 and every team will have these players ranked differently
e.g We may have Rhett Bazzo or Ned Long ranked 15-20 but very good chance they are both still available at pick #26 & #28
Im not sure if its worth trading picks 38,39,40 for pick #17/#18 when we could possibly get pick #18-#21 in 2022
Im happy just to take 7 , 15 , 26 , 28 this year and have another loaded hand next year as well
I wouldnt be in a major rush to trade these later picks to be honestDon’t disagree but we will be looking to upgrade picks in my opinion. Especially if we get a reasonable pick from Norf for CCJ and a decent compo pick for losing Chol.
Oh wow. That makes getting a deal done with the Dogs even easier. They have announced that you can carry two extra picks for live trading purposes during the draft
Draft rules so confusing these days. I've been trying to find info on whether the Mumford/Zac Clarke SSP rule still exists. If it does, in theory if you wanted a previously delisted player you could just tell them not to nominate for the draft and chuck them on your rookie list afterwards. Skinner would be very handy if we could get him for free.I thought ex AFL can sign on these days like Zac Clarke did for Bummers in that SSP period
Ok, well 3 operations, said it was a bit of a risk, didn't say that he should be delisted.Had 2 before he was 20, had 3 operations first reco was a failed patella tendon reco.
Gawn had 2 before he was 20, maybe with your opinion Melbourne should reconsider keeping Maxy

Didn't know that either, anyway a similar situation to the Shlong.I’m a fan and noticed he didn’t nominate for the MSD
