7 and CCJ. We are sending him home. What would we be giving up to move up the order?
Exactly, is the issue as it is only moving up 3 picks from 4 - 7 obviously. What would we be giving up to move up the order?
What would we be giving up to move up the order?
Don’t hate it provided we’re not giving up too much. Desperately need to get a blue chip midfielder from this draftThat I don’t know. Just that we have displayed interest in an earlier pick to get that A grade midfielder guaranteed.

The little murmurings of us moving up have started. I see Adelaide's Pick 4 coming into our interest. Whether it happens of not I don't know for certain but I do know people at other clubs have mentioned it. I do see the Jordan Dawson trade maybe a point of interest here. Let's see what occurs, but I know Ward is someone we rate extremely highly. So do I. Would celebrate getting him.
Not sure how 7 and 38 for 4 benefits Adelaide. They'd need to get their hands on 15 for Dawson to make the deal work.Wonder if Adelaide & Western Bulldogs would be interested in the following:
We give picks 7 & 38* (2,109 points) to Adelaide for pick 4 (2,034 points)
We give picks 28 & 40 (1,106 points) to WB for pick 17/18 (1,025 or 985 points)
We try and at least get pick 38* from North for CCJ.
We end up with picks 4,15,17,26 & 44 (5,262 points) which is more than we have now.
Or we even throw pick 44 Collingwood's way for their 3rd rounder next season.

I think we need to sit tight on our picks.
We have heaps of them and I expect clubs to come running for them, draft night will be very interesting

It’s a given that we are looking to upgrade our picks BobThe little murmurings of us moving up have started. I see Adelaide's Pick 4 coming into our interest. Will happen for sure but a lot to play out in the meantime with Chol, and CCJ for starters15 & 38 for 4 thenNot sure how 7 and 38 for 4 benefits Adelaide. They'd need to get their hands on 15 for Dawson to make the deal work.
It'd be something like 4 and 23 for 7 and 15.
The two going to Collingwood & Norf seem fairly solid choices. Your right though, from there the risks of a B grader are there. Prefer to keep our two first picks as they are. Take best available as they are rated by list managers. Then hopefully get that Bulldogs pick, or if a player slips through into the early 20's we really want, look to upgrade one of our later picks for that to happen.Who are the A grade midfielders guaranteed?
Dogs need a lot more points than that to match the bid on Darcy and not go into arrears for next year as they need around 1700 points to match a bid at Pick 3. I'd be looking to package up 1700 points for their pick and they throw in a future pick for next year to balance it out.We give picks 28 & 40 (1,106 points) to WB for pick 17/18 (1,025 or 985 points)
I understand where you're coming from in bundling later picks to get another 1st rounder but geez you're generous.I would not be looking to trade our picks 7 , 15 , 26 , 28 but use 40,44 and picks we get for Cj & Chol 38 & 39 to get the doggies pick 17/19
This would give us 7 , 15 , 17 , 26 , 28
We could the possibly get to deal with Collingwood / Hawks on the night to perhaps gin their 2022 1st rounder for #17 + #28 to gain another top 6 pick in 2022 or can use the 5 picks this year.
I would rather use 5 picks this year as you may get a player at #26 that is better than a kid picked between 6- 15
7 - Erasmus / Ward
15 - Van Rooyen / Goater
17 - Van Rooyen / Goater / Andrew
26 - Van Rooyen / Goater / Long / Knevitt / Bazzo
28 - Van Rooyen / Goater / Long / Knevitt / Bazzo
Its just a guide but the best you can expect is to deduct #44I understand where you're coming from in bundling later picks to get another 1st rounder but geez you're generous.
38, 39, 40, & 44 equate to pick 7 points wise, I know we'll have to give a little value to the Dogs, but their pick could be 20 after the GF.
Its just a guide but the best you can expect is to deduct #44
and swap that with a 2022 late 2nd if somebody is desperate giving us 2 x 1st and 2 x 2nd next year
But we would need to consider 2022 as well as this year with all these picks
When can the pick trades occur? Is it before the draft or during it?
Agee 100%. We would need the Dogs pick 17/18 and their second rounder to give them the points required to secure Darcy.Dogs need a lot more points than that to match the bid on Darcy and not go into arrears for next year as they need around 1700 points to match a bid at Pick 3. BothWhen can the pick trades occur? Is it before the draft or during it?
To get the dogs first pick any deals would have to be done prior to the draft. The same applies dealing with Collingwood as both Darcy and Daicos will be bid on very early, before we could do a deal on the night. When can the pick trades occur? Is it before the draft or during it?
