I think there is a definite sense of competition and spite towards us from the other clubs. Some may claim that all clubs are just making deals in their own self interest and that is true, to a point. What I do think is happening though, is that clubs don't want to deal with us or see their picks turn into assets to us which would come back to haunt them. I genuinely feel that clubs are more likely to work with the weaker clubs because, not only do thye often have more earlier picks but also that there is a smaller risk they those players chosen with hurt their clubs chance of success in the future.

No other club wants to see us succeed and they know we have a proven system and development program that gets the best out of players. Swapping earlier picks with us, regardless of the deal would come back and haunt you.

THis could be me with a decent chip on my shoulder or it could be a years of success making other clubs bitter as hell too.

Why did Bulldogs allow a trade where Melbourne gets pick 17?

I think you are right. Been hearing we like Johnson so taking him at 9 will shock some but he is a 192cm inside mid with great skills and aerobic ability. Erasmus not playing may drop his rankings but he’s got fans.

I know we're only playing by the rules the AFL give us, but not comfortable with guys playing regularly in the seniors and still being classed as rookies.

Chol was on the senior list. Even with Egg gone we still have a full rookie list because we resigned Parker.

I think you way overestimate how vulnerable we are.

We will male finals probably for sure but winning will not be easy by any stretch and whether we are in contention we will see. Geelong have not been in contention despite making the GF, nor have Hawthorn.

Lynch could get injured, Dusty as well, lot of things have to fall in place yet

Yep, once he worked his way into the team he was one of their two best key forwards
Had both of them gone down they would have had to rely on Weiderman or maybe Majak Daw
Doesn't disprove my point that any club would be in trouble if both their main key forwards went down

No he’s not scrappy. I’ve watched him live in a Xavier v scotch match and he’s a fantastic kick. Lefty who hits targets at 45-50 metres whilst running full tilt.

Has anyone got any vision of the SA v WA game pre-Grand Final?

I have had a look at Johnson.

He is not incapable.

I only saw the challenger. Does not appear to have a leap like Fyfe, not sure on his speed and enduro.

I do not think he has the poise of Pendlebury yet anyway. I am not sure he is as inside as some may be suggesting. If we get him I might be inclined to put him on a wing intially. Seems more capable finding space and getting it as a link player. Moves okay for a taller guy but I still have questions
