What are the odds Sheehan omits any review of Richmond players...Wait until Draft Night, Shifter Sheehan manages to profile 70 odd players which do not have a single weakness in their game.
Only because we'll pnly pick obscure blokes that weren't expected to go till lateWhat are the odds Sheehan omits any review of Richmond players...
Either way.Andrew or Gibcus will be available too gws @ 7(9).Callaghan would still surely be appealing to GWS though. Ward is 30+, Cogs has been cruelled by injuries. Taranto, Green, Hopper, Stone, Kelly, Bruhn, Callaghan. Gibcus makes a lot of sense for them as well, Davis is cooked and their only real KPD is Taylor. Which ever one GWS takes the other one will probably get taken by Gold Coast. Andrew might slide to the saints at pick 11

We can go on about this until the cows come home.lolBlair also said that the deal they offered to try and get Horne was a bit of fun on their behalf knowing full well that it wasn't going to get accepted. Of course we stated we were looking at getting into next years draft otherwise you just back yourself into a corner in terms of negotiating deals. If the fact that we have been trying and succeeded in trading up into the higher picks of this draft doesn't tell you that we're comfortable in what is on offer then I have no idea what will.
Van Rooyen is not worth the risk as a first round selection. If we choose to take a tall early then it may as well be Gibcus, however, I’d rather we load up on midfielders first and then speculate on a tall later. This drafts is strong for midfield types and that is where the club needs to focus.Van Rooyen worries me. I keep reading that the only reason that he is a first round draft candidate is that there is such a dearth of talent in key forwards this year. That in any other draft he'd be a second rounder. To be honest I wouldn't mind if we just go for mids this draft, even if it means trading out a pick and going hard next year with four selections in the top 30 in a draft supposedly overflowing with tall talent. Just concerned going for Van Rooyen has a touch of the Cleve Hughes about it.
JVR would be an excellent get at any of our picks in the 20s, but given he's a tall he's likely snapped up somewhere in the late teens.Van Rooyen is not worth the risk as a first round selection. I hope JVR is snapped up by someone else. On the footage I've watched of the WA side v SA X 2 and Geelong reserves v U19 Aust earlier in the season, I think Williams is the better player. I've stated a couple of times that JVR butchers the ball whenever he's under pressure. Loses his cool, shits his pants and turns it over. Williams on the other hand though appearing to be green, is hard at the contest, works hard and to my amateur eye looks to have way more upside.JVR would be an excellent get at any of our picks in the 20s, but given he's a tall he's likely snapped up somewhere in the late teens.
I haven't followed it much this year, usually would watch the national champs on Fox Footy, but interestingly JVR has dropped well down the order.I hope JVR is snapped up by someone else. I wouldn't be trading to get to 2.
There will be a great player at 7 (9). We will have a choice of Hobbs, Ward, Sonsie, Andrew, Johnson, Erasmus. Then at 15 we will have another multitude of choices. And then they can really speculate with X factor types at 26, 27 and 28.
We should not trade next year's first. Imagine if the injury gods curse us even more next year and we end up trading a top 5 pick?
Couldn’t agree moreI wouldn't be trading to get to 2.

Reading the mock draft , agree with earlier comments you’d be happy taking 5 picks from that . They had us losing 15 to trade up a few spots to get Hobbs. Strange thing is behind us hawks take ward and Freo Amiss. Now that’s gonna happen anyway so why would we lose a pick , I expect we get access to Hobbs at 7
Also like the idea of Jack Williams, looks perfect jack replacement
Maybe , looks to move a bit like josh Kennedy to me , I says a replacement anyways doesnt mean he needs to be a ruddy carbon copyJack Williams is nothing like JR, lol, might be a bust to. Williams looks like a old school forward whereas JR is a leaper
I honestly think Hobbs suits us best , we need a mid that rolls out of bed and gets 28 touches a game . He’s our manIf Adelaide is keen on Rachelle like the reporters say, wonder if they’d do 7 and 26 for 4? Rachelle should still be there at 7, and they’re pick allows us certain access to one of Ward/Hobbs/Callaghan

JVR has played a fair bit down back and is seen as a swingman. Williams more a KPF. RATHER Williams.Jack Williams is nothing like JR, lol, might be a bust to. Williams looks like a old school forward whereas JR is a leaper
I'd be very confident that multiple offers have already been made to BOTH GWS and GCS for picks 2 & 3 respectively but it's not in their best interests to do a deal this early. They'll just sit back and invite clubs to give their best offer whilst playing one offer against the other.I would not give up 26 for that.
It might come down to live trading when we, and others, know who is available at each early pick. The funny thing is for GWS if they want to get MacAndrew they need to trade from the get go so they are in a catch 22. Really, we and others, are helping them by trading with them for a lower pick to get McAndrew because they can always use pick 2 on McAndrew even if some see it as a reach
I fully agree. Callaghan is all class, but what’s the point of players like he and Bolton if there’s no one there to feed it out to them? Inside midfielder should be number 1 priority for us and Hobbs is the best in this draft class. Never has there been a bigger emphasis on winning clearances than right now with 6-6-6I honestly think Hobbs suits us best , we need a mid that rolls out of bed and gets 28 touches a game . He’s our man
I'd be happy with 4 & 33 for 7 & 26, if it guarantees us Hobbs/WardIf Adelaide is keen on Rachelle like the reporters say, wonder if they’d do 7 and 26 for 4? Rachelle should still be there at 7, and they’re pick allows us certain access to one of Ward/Hobbs/Callaghan
