NoI wouldn’t mind taking Fahey with 15(17) think he is really good. Can GWS match if we do?
I don’t think Johnson will be available at that pick 17
But what about a guy like Knevitt? Great size, tackling machine, pretty clean, great overhead and looks to have that natural aggression that RCD lacks
I reckon he’a perfect for our second pick especially if Ward fell into our laps at 9
Sorts the mids out straight away with those picks and can get Williams as that big forward target with 1 of the picks in the 20’s
Yes sadly, they can. Northern academies favoured as usual
What about Knevitt?
What has he done?? I am not talking about stats. I am saying what has he done, what has he showed? I looked at the Vic Country v Metro match, didn't see much up a impact, more of a link player
Where are the highlights?

Johnson is a polished finisher with elite agility & a player who projects as a multi position talent due to being 192cm. Players such as Johnson are rare in comparison to players such as Hobbs. If I'm being tasked to remodel an engine room then I grab the hardest part to find, Johnson represents the rarer commodity so he becomes the priority.
We should just get McDonald as a pure mid as he’s not far behind Hobbs.
And you forgot to mention ALL our small forwards were shite - George/ Aarts/ Rioli went missing. Only Stack looked good at the end there.Don’t think our forward line was that bad last year all things considered , Lynch was playing injured for a large portion of it
A lot of the issues around it were a result of our terrible entry’s into 50
Our midfield was shot and we also copped injury’s to our high half forwards like Lambert who would often set up our entry’s and we looked extremely predictable with those delivery’s we had
Yeah our smalls this year were woefully out of form it says a lot when Aarts was probably our most consistent over the yearAnd you forgot to mention ALL our small forwards were sh*te - George/ Aarts/ Rioli went missing. Only Stack looked good at the end there.
Watched the Aints game in 2019... Stack with 4 jags. He's forward for me next year. I hope we have a good person mentoring him through this next phase as he could become a genuine A grader if we get him 100% committed ( not that that's news for anyone,. Just feel by saying it, makes it more likely!!!)
We will call his name at 15Gee watching the replay of the Aussie 19’s vs Geelong vfl team and Fahey is bloody impressive. Wonder where he goes
Think they can’t bid on Fahey if he is top 20Off to GWS, its a done deal, just how much will they cough up
think this discussion has been done in another postThink they can’t bid on Fahey if he is top 20
And??? Did someone have a definitive answer?think this discussion has been done in another post
BooooooooooooooMoving Balta forward is a joke.
I wouldn't be up about the Nank/SAgree in part the root of our probs in 21 was our poor transition from back half due in no small part to our decimated defence and patched up midfield. A stable defence will be a very good start , improvement from emerging mids and we need improved options in f50. I suspect in short term that shedda lambo Stack will be part of the solution . Miller is a curious one , he may well get a gig as a spare parts man but unlikely if soldo and nank are both fit
Of course injuries were significant, but that didn't alter the fact that besides Lynch and Jack, there was not a lot going on in the forward half other than bits by Dow and Ralphsmith, and Chol and CCJ had a couple of decent games. Jack had some good games but a lot of games where he only scored a goal or two.Don’t think our forward line was that bad last year all things considered , Lynch was playing injured for a large portion of it

Don’t think our system really works with a 3 tall set up, we only did it last year because of injury’s to Soldo and Nank and CCJ and Chol tended to rotate better forward than back like Soldo and Nank tend to do more soI wouldn't be up about the Nank/S

I would think we would have been one of the lowest scoring sides in the league in the last half of the season. Again injuries, but the system and that stupid standing rule meant sides flooded back a lot and gave us no room. We were so slow moving the ball forward, which is not our style. I am sure the coaches will be working on strategies to overcome that.
Agree, although McDonald simply has not appeared on my radar. A player at least has to show something for mine. I could not use a draft pick on this McDonald at the moment
For sure on McDonaldthat’s because he’s only played 4 games this year, hidden gem… I’d be all over him and Taylor with our 2nd round picks.
If our recruiters see it like that then I’m all in , he certainly looks an assured player with ball in hand and rock solid overhead. His body will take 12-18m to put some beef on , that’s ok get him into vflJohnson is a polished finisher with elite agility & a player who projects as a multi position talent due to being 192cm. He can Rance if he wants toBalta is not Rance for the simple reason the have different bodies and move differently. Balta can be a great player but he is Balta, he is not Rance. TO get the best out of himself Balta needs to be Balta not Rance, whatever Balta lets Balta do that is what he should do
Not a fan. I think we’ll make the 8 next year, but it’s no certainty. We could be trading away a top 10 pick. Our hand is good enough this year to not need to trade next years picks into this years imoWhat do people think of trading next years first for Sydney's pick 16?
