Not now, but how high is his ceiling compared to others. This is very much the way Richmond drafts, nearly all our picks of recent years factor in what the player will be like in 3 years. Sonsie has class and pace but seems a bit small for what we need.

I get that, just reckon we will go a tall at our first or second and a ball winner or big bodied mid with it as it suits our needs more. He might be a wingman at AFL level, but not sure he will be a centre mid and we have plenty of half forwards and half backs.

That’s a lie. Plenty of players have been given plenty of time to develop.

Edwards took forever to come on same with Daniel Jackson. FFS Miller is still on the list and only got his first game this year. Chol got ages as well and I’m sure others can come up with some more examples.

What people need to realise also is that if we want to recruit big bodied mids, you need to expect a long term investment. Other than Cripps most 190+ mids take a long time.

The likes of Oliver and Bont making the transition to AFL guns almost immediately has skewed everyone's views on the big bodied mids taking time to adapt.

Really warming to Johnson. Seems like the prototype modern day midfielder. An article on AFL.com comments how he and Van Rooyen are good mates. Wouldn’t mind Johnson and JVR at 7 and 15. They’d be happy to go together and would help settle them being close mates

I think you can lock Ward in for the Hawks if he's there for them.

depends on where we see andrew playing will we develop him as a ruck or kpp
i think he will end up a kpp who occasionly plays ruck
if we were able to pick up a combination of either andrew or gibcus with pick 7 one of johnson or sonsie 0r sinn or goater with pick 15

Nice rant. I think most supporters would agree RCD must deliver in 2022 but most reasonable people are holding off until then before kicking his butt down punt road. There definitely has been excuses made but a lot of them are also facts.

It’s not a rant! I just don’t understand others making out that he’s a star in the making when he has shown sweet stuff all. Sadly as yet he has not shown enough dedication to even get fit. I find him to be the most disappointing player on our list, possibly because I believe he should be far more advanced by now. He has the attributes to be good but I think he lacks the drive/determination

Yes. Interesting their list manager has basically ruled out trading down, but still trying to trade UP. So they must have a particular player thay want to do that and worried GWS will take the player. Surely that's Gallaghan.

Adding callaghan to Rowell and anderson seems obvious
