I am also a Ward fan. I’d actually rather him than Callaghan.Yes agree. Would love to have a pick between Hobb and Ward. If that’s the case I am selecting Ward . Much better kick thinks he’s way out of traffic.
Hobb is more of a bull let’s get the ball out . O m o

Sam Banks is a good Tassie player, has played HBF recently, but is good in the midfield and wing too(my favourite games ive seen him in was in the midfield, kicked a ridiculous goal from the centre circle against Oakleigh once), heres an interview with him, another Hawk Supporter as well. (Banks, Ward, Sheldrick, Browne, Soligo all Hawk Supporting prospects)
Whoever picks up this kid will be getting an absolute bargain. If he didn’t break his wrist earlier in the season, he would of pushed into top 15 of this years draft. Was dominating pre injury. Probably the best and accurate ‘long’ kick in this years draft, right and left foot.
Pinched these from the Hawks board. I wonder how many of these ‘unknowns’ we might be looking at. Seems character is what we are generally after, and obviously that’s the unknowable from us, the fans perspective.
It will be interesting to see if we grab any roughies. Maybe create some late picks.
I’m in favour of leaving spots open for the mid-season. Some kids will emerge in the first half of 2022, and guys like this one are examples of what might be available.
Sheldrick is a smokey with a late pick

WAFL Colts: 9 games | 25.8 disp | 4.1 tackles | 1.0 goals
Possibly the best player across the State Championships, Sheldrick is a contested bull that rips the ball out of stoppages and lays tackles with intent. Questions surrounded his work outside of the stoppage, but he put them to rest with aggressive running patterns and sound ball use during his games against South Australia, which included starting attacking chains and buttering up 50 metres down the field with an outstanding work rate. Sheldrick starred in his WAFL finals campaign and has cemented himself as a bolter of the draft class.

Reminds me of a light weight Blake Caracella..Word is the blues are into him at pick 25, I rate him highly and hope he makes it to our 2nd rounders
Too much talent on the board mate to be going for roughies. I can understand if we had a pick in the 50's we could take a punt but 5 picks in the top 30, there's many ahead of Banks. PASS
What position do you think the club thinks Long is best suited for?I know this is ratings and not a PD but Gibcus, NWM, Taylor, Long and Clarke really sets us up.
This is why we keep our 5 picks , plenty of talent <30The final AFL Draft Power Rankings for 2021 are here, with an extended Top 50 prospects for the upcoming nights of November 24 and 25.

I doubt Castagna will be playing much next year. I think Dimma stuck by him out of loyalty which is fine, but by the end of the season when we had no stake in the 8, he and Aarts were not in the team.Ya know what, screw what I've said before... If we don't trade up, and none of Callaghan, Ward, Hobbs or Gibcus are available at our pick, then yes to Rachele at 7 (9).
I get the feeling he'll be an absolute A-grade small forward in the mould of Nathan Brown but will also be able to pinch-hit in the midfield. Would be a massive upgrade on the likes of Castagna and make us very dangerous up forward. Bonus if he can spend periods in the middle for us.
So whilst I hope we can get the midfielder we need to ice our current cake and give us a decent shot at things in 2022, we might still be able to look the goods if that first player is Rachele.
Callaghan > Ward > Hobbs > Gibcus > Rachele - and there's no way we don't get one of them, surely.
If they are all gone then who is it? Erasmus hey? Prefer we didn't get the WA boy but he still does look decent, just worried about his pace.
Big yes from me. This kid is lightning and is a smooth mover. Will be a steal in the late 20’s.SAM BUTLER remembers the moment his big brother Dan won his first premiership.
He also remembers the scenes just after the Richmond's 2017 Grand Final victory, when Sam himself – then just 14 years of age – got his own piece of priceless premiership memorabilia.
"You know that photo with Dusty and Dane Swan in the rooms? I'm in the background. I was pretty happy about that one," Sam laughed.
Four years on, Sam has developed into a tough 184cm mid-forward and is on the cusp of making more of his own memories at this month's NAB AFL Draft after an impressive season with the Greater Western Victoria Rebels.

I think he should line up next to Short and Broad.....What position do you think the club thinks Long is best suited for?
Agree. I think we can pretty safely assume that Freo will be taking Erasums and Amiss after what has gone on with Cerra.
I don't love the idea of taking Hobbs and Ward (and in doing so giving away 15/26/27). Particularly as someone like a Sonsie/Goater/Johnson could be there at 15 and may develop into a better player than either. Add to that you are potentially giving away two shots at blokes like MacDonald/Roberts/Taylor (and hopefully someone like Chesser sliding). I would much rather take Hobbs (not convinced Ward slides past Hawthorn) and then 3 of the above, backing ourselves to develop them like we have guys like Bolton.
The midfield is the issue at the moment, that's where we're falling behind the best teams and it is an unprecedented opportunity to address the issue. Next year the talls look like it could be the year to replace JR and start looking at a Tarrant replacement.
Correct. Essendon will take him. They'll find a way to draft whoever we're keen on before we get to, such is their mission to consume us and become everything we had built and become. He won't get that far.

This is where I think some under rate other recruiters. Sonsie might be there but what makes people think Johnson and Goater will be there at 15?
