Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
So we do have a pick at 83 and the suggestion was we trade a late future pick for one this year at around 60.Rookie list. For one we don't have a pick after 28, doubt we will us 83.
We have a shot at the Premiership only if we have an injury free year. We can lose the odd player but if last year repeats we will have no chance.
So they will back their best side, with all the old players and cross fingers stay injury free.
There is still lots of room in our developing players. You mention lower league players as backup but RCD, Ross and to a lesser extent Martyn dominate the midfield in the VFL when they play. So would a lower league player do any better?
Agree with the key position backup, very thin. I'm hoping Balta plays CHF allowing Miller more games. That is wishful thinking and we will find out if Miller is up to it, otherwise we have Biggy. And that is it. So for sure we need to rookie a few 23-26 year old back ups. We don't even have a ruck in the VFL besides Soldo who might start there to get some game time and if we go with one ruck for a bit, and young Ryan.
I have no doubt what so ever that clubs like us, Freo, Gws that have a top 10 pick along with a mid range first round pick will go best player available with their first and that will likely be mids. They can then take a bit of a gamble if they wish with their second pick but even then id be reluctant to not take best available with our second first rounder. We have okay depth for midfielders and will get a good one or two at 15 - 28.
We have 0 key position backs or forwards besides Balta that are under 29!
How we could go past Gibcus at 9 is beyond me. Ward and Hobbs look okay but they are not screaming pick me like Horne-Francis or Callaghan.
Bazzo looks pretty good also as a tall but he could easily get snapped up. Amiss not so sure on, doesn't look that mobile but I could be wrong.
And talk about next year, we might go top 4 if things go well and our first pick may be about 18-20. Pretty sure the best talls will be gone by then next draft even if it is a good year for talls.
I hope not. He's not the only delisted player not to nominate, so may not be worth reading too much into. Rory Thompson was another one who didn't, and there were a couple of others I can't recall.Wasn’t there talk at one point that Cumberland wasn’t keen on the vaccine?
Maybe he’s quietly exiting the comp?
Yeah it would be a very strange way for things to play out if it was the caseI hope not. He's not the only delisted player not to nominate, so may not be worth reading too much into. Rory Thompson was another one who didn't, and there were a couple of others I can't recall.
Na, it got confirmed he’s double vaxxedWasn’t there talk at one point that Cumberland wasn’t keen on the vaccine?

I had a look, and most players that clubs have delisted and committed to rookie list have nominated for the national draft. Only a handful (including Cumberland) haven't.
What this means is that Cumberland's nomination will only be for the PSD/rookie draft, where as Biggy can be selected in any draft.
Are all our players now? I'm assuming no news is good news.Na, it got confirmed he’s double vaxxed
Shows he's loyal I guess. Either that, or he forgot to nominateyeah was more interested in the Cumberland situation. That’s weird as fu**

Gold Coast has a spare list spot now. Talk is they're using it on Charlie Constable.Or hasn't had interest from another club.
Biggie probably has had some seductive whisperings in his ear.
That would be a waste of time and a draft pick. With only 55 or so set to be drafted, pick 83 will come in to pick 55ish.So we do have a pick at 83 and the suggestion was we trade a late future pick for one this year at around 60.
Senior lists can have 36-38 players with 4-6 Cat A rookies. Max 42 players all up + up to two additional Cat B rookies.Going with list numbers, if I have this right(??), Pickett, Miller, Stack, Parker ( or did Pickett get upgraded??) are rookies, with Colina as Cat b. We can only have 5 rookies with the one cat B.
So with Biggie and Cumberland, they all won't fit. This article explains rookie years on list and upgrading changes.

AFL confirms 2022 list sizes, tweaks rule for rookies
Any players in their third season as a Category A or B rookie will be eligible to spend another season as a rookie in 2022www.google.com
Cheers. But isn't Colina Cat b?Senior lists can have 36-38 players with 4-6 Cat A rookies. Max 42 players all up + up to two additional Cat B rookies.
We've currently got 29 senior listed players and 6 Cat A rookies. If we use our five picks we'll then have 34 senior players. Then, before the rookie draft we upgrade two rookies (most likely Stack and Pickett) to fill our senior list and make room for Biggy and Cumberland to be redrafted as rookies.
Hope that all makes sense!
Our Club stated that all mens and women listed players have had at least 1 jab and will meet the afl deadline for a fully vaxxed squadWasn’t there talk at one point that Cumberland wasn’t keen on the vaccine?
Maybe he’s quietly exiting the comp?
Yeah. Cat B rookies are separate and you can have up to two of them.Cheers. But isn't Colina Cat b?
Every team is in the same boat ...it's a 50/50 bet ...last year we traded our first for one this year ...now people want to trade forward again ...at some point we are actually going to have to take some playersNah. If your investing this much draft capital you wouldn’t pick a year when your drafting blind. We are missing the most crucial part of the picture, the last half of their final season.

I've been told it's SinnCallaghan hopefully
Imagine the melts if we use our first pick on a half back :OI've been told it's Sinn
I think we should keep 1 spot open for ssp unless there is a big slider come draft night too good to pass up.
Otherwise trade out pick 28 for a pick next year providing we don't move up be packing up two earlier picks.
Probably our secondImagine the melts if we use our first pick on a half back :O
