Agree 100%Yep, I've mentioned it a few times over the last few months on this thread. 18yo speedsters who tear hammies and miss 8 weeks is a red flag for me. I'm sure if the club wants to draft him they will do their due diligence medically. The kid oozes talent but he's gone from being top 5 at the start of the year to late first rounder. Why ?
Nice group, however, I would rather Blake Howes than the last 3.Sinn
Sonsie
MacDonald
Taylor
Bazzo/Leek Alleer
I’d be very pleased with this as a draft haul

Chesser still being there at 28 would be a nice surprise and I'm sure we'd very quick to snap him up. Like Sonsie though, I think if we want him it'll have to be at 17 or trade up a few spots into the early 20s.Will be interesting to see who's in the board come 26.
Cheeser would be handy if sonsie is gone as expected ...
You would think not but pretty sure he was at the start.Surely he wasn’t rated pick one in his year?????

Sinn, Sonsie and Chesser are the three that haven't really been able to live up to their potential this year. With the volume of picks we have, we've got the luxury to target these type of players because it's not going to hurt us as much if one doesn't come off.
Drafting Sinn is exactly what we need. Pace to burn, great kick and also wins his own footy.Drafting Sinn is not really what the team needs and in no way should be reaching for him at 7.
Mansell, Short, Rioli, Stack are all fighting for the same spot. There is space on the wing potentially, but is a wingman exactly what the team needs?
At 15 is a different story, Sinn would be a good pick
Because drafting a dashing half back flanker with average decision making at pick 7 is a reach. Plus these types of players are available later in the draft. Why would he be a reach at 7 but not 15?
I agree, we want a 200 game sure thing from our top 10 pick, we can start getting clever after that. Sinn is a real talent but 5 games in 30 months has to be a concern. Pick15, yep roll the dice if he is there.Because drafting a dashing half back flanker with average decision making at pick 7 is a reach. Plus these types of players are available later in the draft.
I mean using the B&F isn't really fair seeing Sinn was injuredSinn's a long kick, not a great kick. Straight line player. The comparison with Callaghan was done early in the season. Check out the Dragons' b&f results to see the disparity in how their club ranked them.
1. Callaghan (76 out of a possible 120 votes)
4. Howes (44 out of 140)
9. Owens (23/100)
Equal 10. Chesser (14/60), Sinn (14/100)
It's no thanks to Sinn for me.
I’ve watched Sinn live twice and was impressed with his decision making. Where did you get that from?Because drafting a dashing half back flanker with average decision making at pick 7 is a reach. Plus these types of players are available later in the draft.
Seems Adelaide, Hawthorn and St Kilda also have interest in Sinn. All in the top ten. Perhaps their recruiters know more about these players than we do with two minutes of highlights and some herald sun articles at our disposal.Because drafting a dashing half back flanker with average decision making at pick 7 is a reach. Plus these types of players are available later in the draft.
History always decides if these are wise decisions. Who would you prefer on your list, McGrath or Bolton? One a pick 1, the other pick 29. From all reports Callaghan will be a serious player but if we don’t trade up, hopefully we find some gems.Yeah, I agree we need to use our picks.
I’d give up 7, 15&27 to get Callaghan at 2. At least give us a decent chance at a genuine gun.
If this theory of there being guns all throughout the draft holds then it shouldn’t matter if we push two picks to the back as according to some on here there will be talent that slides.
Personally I’d like to see us get 1 potential Agrader, and two more developing talents and keep the last two spots for the mid season draft. There will be a lot of players who didn’t get sufficient exposure this year and will come on quickly with some footy next year.

Hobbs and Sinn with our first two picks would be amazing. I think we'd have to move 17 up to get it done though. Perhaps do a deal with Essendon who are open to splitting their pick 13?Any chance we can land both Hobbs and Sinn? Then target two of bazzo/jvr/alleer with our 20s picks
So were Callaghan and Chesser. Callaghan played six games, Sinn played five. Howes played seven. Chesser played three. It's totally fair.I mean using the B&F isn't really fair seeing Sinn was injured

Compare the Pair: Finn Callaghan / Josh Sinn (Sandringham Dragons/Vic Metro)
THE Sandringham Dragons have produced a great number of high-end prospects over the years, whether it be those who are touted from a long way out, or players who bolt into contention with undeniable form in their draft seasons. 2021 is no different, with line-breaking movers Josh Sinn and Finn...central.rookieme.com
good article, thanks for sharing
some highlights in the article about Sinn (looks to have turned into a beast …lightning quick)
Josh Sinn Sandringham Dragons/Vic Metro
co-captain (club loves leadership attributes)
DOB: January 7, 2003
Height/Weight: 186cm/82kg
Half-Back/Midfielder
2021 averages*:
20.0 disposals | 14.3 kicks | 5.7 handballs | 4 marks | 2.3 tackles | 5.0 inside 50s | 3.7 rebound 50s | 0.3 goals (1)
* – from three NAB League games.
Sinn, pegged as a potential top five candidate and one of his side’s co-captains, warmed to the blockbuster Round 1 clash with Oakleigh well, becoming prominent at crucial stages to help lift his side over the line. The Dragons coaching staff pulled the trigger on his midfield move early, sending him into the guts late in that game to good effect. Sinn carried that form into his second outing, against Northern, again rotating between the middle and half-back in soggy conditions at Preston City Oval. His game against Dandenong in Round 3 shed light on how Sinn would fare as a permanent midfielder, but his line-breaking ability again came to the fore. The 18-year-old notched his third game of 20 disposals, providing good drive and improving in his disposal as the game wore on.
….been reported that Sinn put on 13kg over last year’s break, bringing his latest measurement up to 82kg as well.
Sinn and Callaghan size-up virtually identically, and both boast the same kind of athletic superpowers. As line-breaking types, both possess electric speed but tend to use their athleticism in different ways. Sinn, who has a handy sprinting pedigree, is lightning quick in straight lines and can snatch serious meterage in a flash when released into space.
….Sinn’s developing point of difference is his midfield craft, which has proven to already be at a decent level with good room to grow given his burst and physical make-up. He also rests forward while playing midfield and has a nice balance of inside and outside traits.
Sinn’s ability to time runs and make repeat efforts in that sense suits the half-back role really well, showing high-level smarts and game awareness
I think this is our guy if still on the board.
We will probably be linked to someone else tomorrow, it seems to be changing everyday. The club likes to keep everyone guessing and no doubt there are plenty of red herrings out there at the moment.if Reports are true/accurate…id be good with it…like many, I have utmost faith in our club

Kevin Sheehan reveals his top NAB AFL Draft Prospects: Medium/Tall Midfielders
AFL Talent Ambassador Kevin Sheehan reveals his latest batch of prospectswww.afl.com.au
I'm all in on Hobbs first.
who do you want RATD?So were Callaghan and Chesser. Callaghan played six games, Sinn played five. Howes played seven. Chesser played three. It's totally fair.
Sandy does its B&F the way I think it should be done: four match committee members each give 5-4-3-2-1 votes every game. So a unanimous BOG earns a player 20 votes (hence the 76 out of 120 etc. that I mentioned). Callaghan averaged almost as many votes per game as Sinn got in total over five games. It's a gulf.
