What a surprise a miracle slide of Hobbs to 13 constructed by a Bombers supporter. It was meant to be a Phantom Draft not his Wet Dream from last night.

Mids are easier to acquire through trade and free agency through sheer numbers, KPP's much harder the land.

Agreed we need mids but Clarke was radio today (RSN ) reconfirming what we’ve heard plenty of times that with our first pick “best player available regardless of what position they play “

If Gibcus is Clarke’s highest rated player come our pick no doubt we take him.

Interestingly he also talked about live trading and that we’d be open to trading up particularly with our first.

Rioli certainly wasn’t seen as a reach and not projected to be drafted until after our big so he certainly wasn’t seen as the best available or a slider. Corey Ellis are certainly wasn’t a slider.

I’ll agree Higgins was a “best available”, whilst he of course no longer plays for us but if the draft was to now be re-done I doubt he’d be taken much later than we originally did.

Shai Bolton and Jack Graham were both seen as sliders and best avalible, they’ve certainly been fantastic picks. Many also had Noah Balta going higher than we took him!
