Getting in a 193cm mid like Johnson is too good to pass up. Amiss is only 3cm taller and can only play one position. Johnson can go midfield he can play as a big size winger.

I look at logan McDonald last year who did really well in the wafl seniors coming second in the goal kicking with 21 goals and seeing how he looks this year.
Amiss had great numbers kicking 51 goals but playing colts

McDonald was far more impressive and ready to go. Reckon we’re over rating amiss on the back of the lack of kpfs this year

Erasmus and Johnson look like better long term pick ups for us as WA picks. Then there’s our boys from Vic in Hobbs, Ward and Gibcus who all seem like high floor types. Will be bummed if we get Amiss after all of this build up

Van Rooyen is a bit of a enigma, looks a little agricultural but there is something about him. Why does Freo not take both?

wouldn't mind if we can somehow trade up and keep 15 but may not be possible.

Goater has a rough kick at times but there is something about him and the way he moves, he is eye catching. It would be interesting to see what eh could do at AFL

many years ago I was at a VicRoads office and the guy serving me went off for something. Then the door at the back opened and I saw him having a break and a cuppa laughing with his mates. 1/2 hour later he came back.

Pick 9 we'll be taking Jye Amiss. All that "best available" is a smokescreen to throw Freo off so that they think they'll get him with their second pick. Hopefully can become a long term Riewoldt replacement. Mids are dime a dozen and can steal one or 2 of them off gold coast and GWS when Riewoldt and Cotchin's money is freed up when they retire end of 2022. Surely one or 2 of our other picks end up decent mids with a future.

I think it's more likely we're interested in Johnson than Amiss. I think Clarke's been pretty open in saying Amiss is in consideration for our pick which seems to me like a tactic to pressure Freo into taking him first, while we've stayed quiet on Johnson who's the one we really want to slip.
