Following the Trade Period, the current order for the first round of the draft is:

  1. North Melbourne
  2. GWS Giants
  3. Gold Coast Suns
  4. Adelaide
  5. Hawthorn
  6. Fremantle
  7. Richmond
  8. Fremantle
  9. St Kilda
  10. West Coast Eagles
  11. Essendon
  12. Port Adelaide
  13. GWS Giants

Hi All,

I've still got some shuffling to do including putting some picks back in from teams who matched bids but thought I'd share where I was up to with my Phantom Draft. It's a bit of a work in progress at this stage so be gentle. I'm also aware I've butchered some of the spelling.

Adelaide passed on the opportunity to take O’loughlin as part of the NGA, why would they take him at 35?

I believe that if they nominate O'Loughlin, then they're obligated to take him, but if they don't they can choose him if no-one takes him first.
Not a great vote of confidence in him though.

Nominating an NGA player has no obligation in terms of taking them in the draft. Same with f/s. A club may choose to match or not.

Unless I’ve somehow skimmed over him, I’d be massively surprised if Zac Taylor isn’t taken somewhere in the entire ND.

so Gold Coast get the chance to pick 1 excellent prospect this year and they give it away, Richmond need forward line youth and pick a slow mid leaving JVR on the board, and Sydney who drafted a ruck mid season and traded for a ruck with port then go and pick up Conway with their 1 and only early pick........ :tearsofjoy: :thumbsu:
