There's been a bit of talk about our pick trading lately and while the Melbourne pick isn't as high as we hoped it's still a good draft to have two late firsts.
Nit picking (but you know, that’s what I do), would have taken Banks at 48.
I’d be surprised if you found a Lions supporter who wouldn’t be happy with those selections.
I know I've mentioned it a few times over the course of the year but Mac Andrew is still the player I want most this year. I wouldn't be against us trading up for him. Seen a few people mention he is a longer term prospect but you never know how quickly players develop and become ready for senior footy once in an AFL system. Harry Sharp isn't someone anyone had pegged for a Round 1 spot when we first drafted him. For a more similar type to Andrew, Nik Cox played a lot of footy this year with a very slight frame. Even if it were to take him a few years to develop in the VFL, I still think he'd absolutely be worth it.

Massive injury concerns and doesn’t get enough possessions for my liking to draft for mine would have gone Johnson or Chesser

Fair enough, I'm not as worried about the injuries and Chesser has had a few this season as well. I also think he's got enough talent that it'll be easy enough to put him in a role where finding the footy won't be a problem. Certainly helps with our pace, run and carry issues.

Johnson is an entirely different sort of player, and I'd argue we need Sinn's speed more than Johnson's contested game.

Oh maybe, always thought Sinn looked the taller, longer player.
Sounds like Bazzo has quelled him since moving to him.

He has too an extent, JVR set up another goal just before halftime and Swan Districts got on top in that second quarter giving him less opportunity. Overall been a pretty good battle between the two and should be a good second half.
