Dogs + Ladhams would be strong contenders and unless they have a massive injury run I couldn’t see them not finishing top 4.
Their big weakness then would be the backline.

Getting the son of a player who trotted out 226 times for your club is fineThey will be fine they got 2 top 5 picks for nothing the last 2 years

Getting ugle-Hagen as a freebie just cause was ducking outrageous.
The kid was a freak athlete coming through the professional system in a afl mad region that has produced as many afl footballers as anywhere. Never should have been allowed.
Could we give up our 1st rounder this year for collingwoods 1st round next year
Would give them the points for daicos and give us 2 1st rounders in a stronger draft
I would do it in a heartbeat but I don’t think pies will.Could we give up our 1st rounder this year for collingwoods 1st round next year

There is some restriction on trading away 1st round picks 2 years in a row and I dont think you can trade away a 1st round pick if you have traded away a 2nd round pick, unless you trade back in.Could we give up our 1st rounder this year for collingwoods 1st round next year

2022?So getting a 2023 first round pick for Ladhams and death riding the pick is probably our best strategy.
Dogs and Saints could both collapse next year.

You mean why would they do it again…Why would Collingwood trade pick 16 for what's likely to be pick 1-6 in a stronger draft??
Maybe we should trade Sam Mayes for Marcus bontompelli while we're at it
Watts, Rockliff, SPP, Ryder, Schulz etc would like a word.Absolutely no doubt he can play but we simply don't take on players with issues.
Very good business by the suns.COLLINGWOOD and Gold Coast are poised for a significant pick swap that will help the Magpies secure draft points to cover a bid for father-son Nick Daicos.
AFL.com.au understands the Pies are set to land the Suns' picks 22, 46 and 58 in a trade for future selections in the second and third rounds.
It would give Collingwood a much stronger hand to not only cover the points for an expected top-three bid for gun midfielder Daicos but also more capital to land trade targets Nathan Kreuger from Geelong and Patrick Lipinski from the Western Bulldogs.

Maybe we could do some pick swaps with the Suns this year to give them extra picks for 2022's super draft, to curry good favour from the GC and get them onside?COLLINGWOOD and Gold Coast are poised for a significant pick swap that will help the Magpies secure draft points to cover a bid for father-son Nick Daicos.

So trade out of the 2022 draft that we should rate, in order to get fuzzy warm feelings from them so they trade us luko, even tho we’ve already traded out picks that we could need to even help make a stronger offer?Maybe we could do some pick swaps with the Suns this year to give them extra picks for 2022's super draft, to curry good favour from the GC and get them onside?
This would be a prelude action, in prep for a follow up trade arrangement for Luko next year.
Rookie him this year and see what happens. Get rid of Motlop.This.
Good SANFL player and ordinary AFL player. People forget he was borderline best 22 at both Richmond and Adelaide.
Not worth the trouble.
