187cm, nice sidestep, good evasive skills, makes good decisions with ball in hand, effortless kick.

Why not?

just doesnt seem like another genuine midfielder. another HBF / HFF pinch hitting in the middle type, that we already have to many off

Does Leek Aleer come into consideration at our pick 16 if we hold onto it and it isn't involved in a pick upgrade with Sydney. Mature ager but probably best key defender in the draft and we are seriously short in that department with all of Jonas, Mckenzie, Clurey and Pasini being undersized and the two former players being in their twilight years.
Alleer or Dean may still be available at a pick in the low 30's for us.
Both mature agers and played against men as well as a few AFL listed players and did ok.

If you look forward a few years, to the "Wines Era" this is what we have in place:
2025
F Georgiades ?-TF-? Fantasia
HF Rozee Marshall Bergman
C Amon Wines(c) Duursma
HB Burton Aliir Houston
B Byrne-Jones ?-TB-? Clurey
R Hayes ?-IM-? Butters
I ?-2R-? Jones Drew ?-SF-?

Our recruiting priorities should be :

1. A classy inside mid- not sure that SPP will step up; I'm assuming Jones will but not sure we can expect him to be our Bontempelli just yet. I have Jones as our future 2nd Ruck Rover atm
2. A tall forward target- Finlayson? Lord? Lukosius? Someone else?
3. A tall lock down defender- Pasini not yet proven
4. A 2nd ruck- next year's draft looks like the one for talls of all types
5. A small pressure forward/goal kicker- not sure Woodcock, T.Burgoyne, McEntee will cut it yet. Maybe J.Burgoyne or someone like Rachele?

We have 3 years to fill these gaps. Today, two more trade periods, 3 drafts.

We also have 17 potential F/S picks 2022-2026 with 6 in 2022/23.

He's tracking like he's no risk with a high ceiling. That we pay a 1st round pick when a few months ago he was a 40-60 pick is annoying.

How many are 185cm+ inside mid's or 195cm+ KPP's? So far not enough ex-players going Snu Snu. They all seem to be skinny and/or short.

All 195-205cm gorillas in my dreams.....

2023 - Jack Lade
2025 - Jake Bishop
2025 - Darcy Thurstans
2025 - Gillon Wakelin
2026 - Nate Tredrea

Tom Morris reports...

Discussions between Port Adelaide and Sydney are ongoing with the clock ticking towards the trade deadline. Port have asked the Swans to give them Picks 12 and 31 in return for Ladhams and Pick 16.

The Power would also accept a future second-rounder instead of Pick 31. Ladhams, who is contracted at Alberton for another season, is keen to get to Sydney after they chased him last year.

His back-ended salary is $400,000 in 2022 but averages out to less than $250,000 across the three-year term. If Sydney and Port orchestrate a trade, the Swans would absorb his entire salary and extend his deal beyond 2022.

Sounds about right imo

Roberts won't be that high and we won't draft him. Too slow. We are going to go for some skinny flanker like wanganeen. That's what we do

I'd hope one of Roberts (inside mid), Rachele (small fwd), Draper (fwd/mid) or Amiss (kpf) would be the guys in mind moving up to 12 now.
