I wonder if we can get him on the Maggies list when he goes undrafted.
Is he just not good enough and won't even be alright at SANFL level? Why though? Don't think he's even worth chasing really.

Cal Twomey has his October top 35 rankings out has Sonsie and Goater available at our pick.
Also has Roberts at 27 and Bazzo 33.
Has Johnson at 14.
I’d love a player with that name.Only one game I saw, but in the WAFL Colts GF Bazzo went on to Van Rooyen when he was on fire and put the fire out - Van Rooyen not sighted in the last quarter when the flag was there to be won.
Bazzo Van Rooyen III
I'm not saying we should rookie him, just hoped maybe he can be an SANFL contracted player like Miller Carter (son of Stephen) for example, play some SANFL games and then go down to Port Districts when not picked or whatever. If he's not or never will be good enough to even do that then no worries. If it were me, he's not even rookie material. I'd love to hear more from people who've watched him a bit closer though. From what I understand he's never come on.

Didnt it read that he had only played 1 game in 2021. That was why there was a mention as a train on option so someone could actually see what he was like.I think he's reserves level at this stage, so yeah probably could come to PAFC as SANFL listed but I'm not sure it would be for any reason other than the last name.

Did he play some football in SA that you guys saw?

Cal Twomey's Phantom Form Guide: Top draft prospects' October ranking
In this bumper edition, Cal Twomey ranks a whopping 35 players in the 2021 draft poolwww.afl.com.au
I agree. Happy with any of those from 13 to 17. Sonsie my favourite.Happy with most around our range, Johnson, Sonsie, Draper or Goater. NWM/ Rachelle would be a real luxuries but probably not our critical needs.
Doesn’t Mumma Wanganeen the First live in Melbourne hence his relocation to school there? Reading between the lines it seemed like she was calling the shots for him. Doubt that would change enough to relocate back to SA for a SNAFL gig.
I’d love a player with that name.
He will be outside the other sanfl clubs' players 1-40 ranking so we can't touch them. Don't know if the not recruiting players from interstate rule still applies to both us and the crows, given he has lived in Victoria for almost 2 years.I wonder if we can get him on the Maggies list when he goes undrafted.
Ross' comment wasn't about drafting him.Pointless looking at players that may or may not get a game for the Magpies. Should only be drafting players that will or could possibly play AFL.
Was not directly on about Ross’s comment more about the general talk about him maybe or maybe not getting a game for the Magpies.Ross' comment wasn't about drafting him.
It was, what happens if no one drafts him, can we give him one of the 15 community club contracts for the Magpies? If he has only played 1 game of school footy in 2 years then being part of the Magpies training squad could help his development.
Wangas on the radio interview said that in the last 2 years he has developed a man's body, but hasn't played footy, first because of injury and then lockdown/restrictions in Victoria.
I'm pretty sure that if both Essendon and Port don't nominate him this year, and no one drafts him, then both clubs can still nominate him for F-S in next year's draft.
You would need to have a very good idea of what is likely to be available 2 round next year that we would like but someone like Roberts being available 25-30 makes a reasonable case for trading in a pick.
Not someone is be real keen on early but if he drops down the order a bit?
Trading in from next year's big men super draft? No way.I just saw that Mitch Knevitt is around 30 mark. If he's available there, I'd be open to trading into the 2nd round and grabbing him along with Sonsie/Rachele/NWM/Draper
Would love this don't know anything about Lord but the other 4 would be raptMy dream draft scenario
#12 - Tyler Sonise
f/s - Jase Burgoyne
late - Oscar Adams
late - Alastair Lord
rookie - Jordon Lukac
We get a goal kicking mid/fwd with some x-factor in Sonsie. A smooth moving wingman with pace and clean skills in Burgoyne. A project KPD in Adams and a project ruck/fwd in Lukac who kicked 13 goals in his last 4 SANFL games of the year and Lord who could be anything.
Other options we could look at for a rookie spot could be a ready made mid who could give us 1/2 good seasons, maybe a Nathan Freeman from Frankston or Greg Clark from Subiaco.
