Lukac is an interesting scenario. Reading his profile on that Kevin Sheehan article it seems like he could be a NGA prospect for us as his mum is African and he plays for the Eagles. If an NGA gets through to to the rookie draft they can go on the Cat B list can’t they? A bloke his size would be worth drafting if it was for free. Port mustn’t rate him at all.

If he was NGA for us then he isnt eligible anymore as he went undrafted last year

He looks like a late developer to me not sure location matters.
I was referring to missing two years of playing time.
They kept playing in SA.

Draft picks: 12, 63, 73, 74, 92

List needs: Midfield depth and speed, small forward, young defender

Who could be available at first pick: Josh Rachele, Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, Arlo Draper, Matty Roberts, Josh Goater, Josh Sinn, Mitch Knevitt

Could be in the mix after that: Jase Burgoyne, Lachlan Rankin, Oscar Adams, Hugh Stagg, Sam Skinner

Given Robbie Gray is in the twilight of his career, and the club’s want to get Zak Butters and Connor Rozee in the midfield regularly, the talented Rachele would be hard to pass up in the unlikely even he was still there at Port’s first pick. But at 12 – the selection they got from Sydney in the Pete Ladhams deal – the Power are more likely to bolster their midfield. The ready-made Roberts would do so immediately, while the unrivalled foot skills of Wanganeen-Milera would complement the inside stocks perfectly. Sinn, with his speed, and Goater, with his height and explosiveness, would add another dimension altogether – albeit down the track. Burgoyne, the son of premiership star Peter, will nominate as a father-son prospect and the Power have a stack of late picks to match a potential bid. Locals Stagg, Adams and Harvey Harrison could appeal and they have shown some interest in former Lion Skinner.

Such an Advertiser article. South Australian Matty Roberts who is fast sliding out of Cal Twomey's top 30 could be available at 12.

At least we learn that Port has shown some interest in Skinner with a late pick.

Had a listen to this after I heard the Jase Burgoyne one - his name was inspired by The Alice's Restaurant bloke, but he's a huge fan of James Blunt(!) and a Crows fan to boot. Barge pole! Barge pole! Actually, aside from that he sounds like a pretty good lad really.

How the **** is he a Crows supporter?

Good question - from his parents apparently. He was born in Tasmania, so they moved to Adelaide well after the Crows started (and even their last premiership), so you think they probably would've barracked for one of the Victorian teams, unless they came from SA originally and only went to Tassie for a period.

Hahaha woops. I should have read the podcast title better. I thought you were talking about Burgoyne.

I need a lie down.
