Looking at the draft it really appears that after our 1st rounder the quality really fall away rapidly, if we hadn't upgraded to Sydney's 1st rounder i would have been more than happy to have future traded it.

Probably just the pre draft nerves talking but I get the feeling that either st kilda or Essendon will take sinn, or there will be a trade up for someone to jump in at their picks. It feels like wanganeen Milera is our most likely pick up.

Replying to my own post.....ego driven.
But I was interested in a late pick developing ruckman. We will have need of one in 3-4 years.
The ABC site suggests Jordan Lukac from WWT.
Seems a bit small for a ruckman at 196cm, but he is only young.
Is much known of him?

I watched him play a lot this year. I dont know. My eyes widened when I first saw him as here's this big kid with a good leap and quite good athleticism. Then I saw he's an overager playing in the under 18s and went undrafted last year. Then he didnt touch the ball again for about 75 minutes. He came good towards the end of the season but he had a lot of games this year where he just did nothing. He didn't impress at reserves level either.

You are paying for his athleticism and hoping the football side comes together. He's basically a poor mans Ratagolea. Maybe worth a punt, but I wouldn't be surprised if he goes undrafted.

Okay Macca have you got any possibles/probables for our later picks. It looks and sounds like Sinn/NWM for our Pick 12.
I always enjoy the smokies and we have done alright with later picks over the years.
I mentioned Cooper Sharman to you a couple of years ago and he went undrafted but now has popped up at the Saints and looks okay.
I remember you thought he would be gone when we had a later pick because you like me thought he was okay.
I havent seen enough or heard of anyone for this year but would like you to have a stab.

I think in terms of late picks, im hoping for Wagner or Browne, both WA mids. Maybe Jackson or Willis, both SA mids. Possibly Breuer from GWV. Harvey Harrison a possibility as well

Reading the Rookie Me Central draft guide, it describes him as getting a ton of the ball, but the knocks seem to be kicking and hurt factor. None of his attributes are rated as below average though, so not sure why even the guide is rating him as a late pick.

Josh Ward to slide, major rumour re severe concussion history. Maybe crap , I seem to remember concerns over Wingard with concussion history as junior. Do we pick him if he slides?

On paper Josh Browne seems like he should be a first rounder. Not sure what the knock on him is?

His kicking isn't elite, but neither is someone like Tom Mitchell's either and that's probably the best sort of comparison. He may not be the cleanest out of a pack but his kicking in space isn't an issue. Kicked a decent amount of goals for an inside mid too. Again it could be a group think thing and we'll see him taken a lot higher.

My main thought of him going lower is that he was shoved into a forward pocket & flank in the WA trial games and didn't get a whole lot of midfield time that you'd expect for someone averaging 32 touches a game in colts.

Doc Peter Barnes and/or Doc Mark Fisher gave the club a report in 2009 that Shaun's knee might not last 3 years.

They aren't always 100% right.
