Hey guys, scuse the intrusion. Thought you might like to have this resource on your board (mods might like to sticky):

 
Clubs that could trade up into this part of the draft include Brisbane (Picks 16 and 20) and Melbourne (Pick 19), who are considering getting ahead of Essendon (Pick 13) and Port Adelaide (Pick 14) in the order. That’s because all four clubs have been linked to Northern Knights defender Darcy Wilmot, who now looms as hot property in the middle of the draft and could be central to how the rest of the round pans out.

Coverage or the first pick? There is about an hour's difference of verbal diarrhea spoken before the 1st pick is revealed.

On AFL.com.au it starts at 6.30pm AEDT

4:30am here.

I’m on a bus to Uruguayana. I will be there around 7am. Would it be over by then?

They are only doing round 1 tonight, ie 18 picks + at least 2 matching bids, so it should be over in about 1 hour as clubs get up to 5 minutes, but Fox Footy will want it to stretch out and do interviews so it probably goes for 2 hours.

So, today there’s a reality show. The actual draft is tomorrow.

I can’t stand American drafts, but it seems that the AFL’s is even worse.

I love wilmot as a player, and he’s being well underrated by many around bigfooty to cries of “we don’t need another half-back” (by supporters of clubs with a pretty mundane list of defenders)

But this article suggests we basically give up pick 16 + Ladhams + whatever it takes to trade up again (future 2nd?)

For a half back flanker when we’re arguably the best stocked team for that position in the league?

Wilmot will become a fan favourite where ever he goes i suspect, but for port it still equals horrible value.

You'll be pleased to know Parker talked about adding another young development ruckman to the squad.

He said it could be next year. Might be one that they're watching for late in the draft.

I heard that, and took that to mean next year's mid season draft at the earliest.

I am expecting mechanics Cripps and Parker to again put the club in the position where we have to take something from the differential to fix up the carburettor in 2022.

Problem is your always susceptible to them once you've had a few. Going against bigger men will not help. Hope im wrong for him though
