The guys in the Murdoch media mock draft had us taking Matt Johnson, Jase Burgoyne, and Arthur Jones

We’ve already got a Jones and a half, so that should take us up to two full ones.

I get the feeling that Mac Andrew might slide to us. Can't see the suns or Giants going that early and the other teams might not want a ruck that's so raw with their early pick either, which leaves us with one less from the above list to choose from

Barring any trades from here on, this is what I think the draft order would be:

Leaves us with Sinn, Sonsie, Goater, Draper to choose from. I think the WA kids will find their way to the WA clubs (even though those clubs have mentioned they may take interstate draftees I think it's a smokescreen). Mac Andrew to saints makes perfect sense as Ryder is nearing his end now and they like the dual ruck set up. Whether Essendon take NWM would be my question. I think for them it's between Sinn and NWM. I've gone with NWM because he's the bolter of the draft.

Regardless, we'll have 2 of Sinn, Sonsie and Goater available at our pick imo and all 3 can play a huge role in the midfield in the future

That’s very possible.

According to my draft board atm we should take Sinn but I see Goater as a more exciting prospect and a better fit- he is just a greater risk. Nah, f@#$ it, I think we should take the risk- Goater over Sinn.

There's no knock on Johnson but for a quad injury early in the year he'd probably be rated a lot higher. We pick him he will play round one.

For a "weak" draft we are spoilt for choice.

In my opinion the moment Wanganeen-Milera is taken we will be on the phone to Richmond trying to get 15 & 28 for Pick 12 and steak knives.

I think we are fairly sure Burgoyne isn't going to go Top 30.

I have not heard of any potential draftees who are not prepared to get vaccinated and the deadline was 12 November so I assume they are all good to go.

Apparently the AFL will inform clubs of any potential draftee who is not prepared to get vaxed. Of course the clubs and the AFL are not obliged to make that info public.

It is an interesting scenario. If a top 10 draft prospect was identified as a non vaxer would a club take him lower in the Draft in the hope they could persuade him to change his stance or would they pass on him?

In the article below it looks like if you are not prepared to be vaccinated you will not be drafted but it doesn't actually say that. It talks about AFL sanctions if a player is not vaccinated by the deadlines. I guess they are talking about a player who says, 'yes I will get vaccinated' then re negs on that undertaking. Best to assume there isn't a Liam Jones

I’ve seen him play a bit for subi last year in the colts and reserves. Tall lanky type good hands moves smooth one of those players who looks like he’s in second gear but covers the ground fast.

If I did not nominate for the NAB AFL Draft, can I then nominate for the NAB AFL Pre-Season and/or Rookie Draft?
No, because part of the eligibility criteria for the NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft and/or Rookie Draft is that a player must have been eligible for, but not selected at, the NAB AFL Draft. The only exception is a player who has been delisted from the Primary List by an AFL club, who can stipulate if their nomination form is to be held over for the Pre-Season Draft.

I just messaged Cumbo on Insta and asked him why he hadn't nominated and he replied and said he's been moved back to the senior list (I'm guessing when we traded our picks to Collingwood and freed up an extra spot).

Maybe the same has happened with Mayes? (not sure how many list spots you have available)

Either that or like you say, he's nominated for PSD/rookie only.
