Is it you who thinks Kade Dittmar might feature late for us?

Absolutely. We've interviewed him half a dozen times and told him that if he's there at our second "live" pick we'll grab him.

Whatever that second live pick ends up being I'm not sure.

My Guess is they are trying to get Tom Brown just fell short of the Father/son rule

By my calculation Geelong have a pick 50 that they don't have the list spots to use.

We should be offering them something minimal for that.

Hard to see how we do it though if we want to trade our first rounder into this year.

maybe we are keeping that option open to see who falls.

that might be worth looking into (getting pick 50 from the Cats)

with Collingwood / Dogs later picks being eaten up pick 50 could be a pick in the early 40's

which could put us in range of Hugh Jackson...

Sinn is being linked to st kilda. Amiss to freo. Johnson is almost linked to every club. Ward is linked to Hawks but not linked to the non vic clubs. 2 of Nwm, Erasmus, Goater; Johnson seem tbe most likely to be at our pick. Maybe

I reckon Rendall was told to sex it up by Hutchy. He went off on some rants about players that he never did all year on Hutchy's other production - FootySA. Gotta say something controversial when there isn't much stuff different to say for 12 hours a day over 10 days or so of Trade Radio, to try and get people to tune in.

I'd trust Rendall's analysis of KPP's and rucks more than any of the usual suspects the media goes to about draftees.

I guess Ward on talent would be awesome to have. He's very similar to Boak the way he plays. Not fancy but hardworking and does the basic right. I'd still prefer Sinn or Sonsie over him because you have the likes of Wines, Boak, Drew,SPP, Bergman to do the inside grunt work so work. Need a classy midfielder with breakaway speed and quality kicking

The write-ups have us linked to Ward, Goater and Wilmot.

Wilmot would be an odd choice. I mean, he's an medium sized intercept marking machine at 183cm and has the run and carry that we seem to love but he's more the sort of player you'd look at when we had 16, not 12. The only upside is that Wilmot is one day off being ineligible for this draft because his birthday is December 31st, so you're getting a player who is as bottom age as they get and has development and possibly more growth left in him.

"It's my main priority," Wilmot told AFL.com.au.

"You have to defend first, then attack. You can't attack if you don't have the ball. The defensive side of my game has always been the first thing on my mind, so for me it's always been defence-first."

Sounds like Hinkley has coached him already.

Dream scenario would be someone like Sinn (4 in my rankings) or Ward (7) falling to our pick. That would be excellent. Sinn I think ultimately will become the better player but Ward is a definite need and a clear Boak replacement as well. Would be great.

Later on i'm hoping that there is a player from my 20's or 30's that falls through. Dream scenario would be someone like a Josh Browne, Connor Macdonald or Ned Long falling through to our next range of picks.

Draft is very even from the Crows pick to ours so they should be sweating. Hopefully the draft falls right and we get another star to add to our premiership push
