Tough day but it would have been a good experience with the travel and Peatling had a lot of the ball and not sure if they moved a few players around with low numbers for Shipley and Bruhn
Dominated in the ruck with no listed ruck going up v 2 ex AFL players in Port/Carlton M Lobbe and Wyllie Buzza they must have had a field day
Interesting to see the write up on the game

Giants vs Swans ECFL at the Holden Centre?

This should be rescheduled and played as a curtain raiser for our AFL R18 derby at GS or Manuka.

Let the NSW/ACT teams play VFL oppo clubs while they’re stuck down there.

When will Gil and his minions stop taking flagship NSW/ACT derby’s and sending them interstate?

We play in a comp that still officially calls itself the VFL.

Our seniors play in the AFL that is still unofficially the VFL.

It’ll be a while.

Strong team named for you guys, 17 in the 23 man squad. We only have 9 listed players.

I also see Angus Baker is playing for you guys now, he was with Essendon VFL earlier this year. Do you know what happened there?

Nothing solid but just a feel that when he wasn’t picked up in the mid season draft he would go and play with mates, people he has more connection to and a city he knows better
Not sure if the Giants said anything to him but he would be a chance to be picked up as a mature player at the end of the year if he impresses
And he is ex swans academy so they could look at him as well and it has previously being mentioned that multiple clubs have been interested in him

Named as below but Briggs and Daniels named for AFL and depending on the sub use another to come out so interesting if they borrow players from somewhere with the restrictions in place and if a couple of players are on limited game time depending on when next weekends game is scheduled for

Baker Stein Fleeton
Peatling Brown Wehr
Angwin Stone O'Halloran
Grintell Sproule Shaw
Kelly Riccardi Pollock
Madden Shipley Chisholm
Ash Briggs Bruhn Buntine Daniels

Went down and watched the 2nd qtr.

O'Halloran had it absolutely on a string. And Riccardi is too good for this level. Kicked a ludicrously good banana goal before half time.

First time I've seen Wehr and he's a very neat looking player. They played him off half back. Has some Josh Kelly similarities.

Shipley did a leg injury. Possibly a hammy.

Big win for the reserves and some strong performances, hopefully nothing too serious for Shipley
Not sure where some of the players came from, maybe Academy squad based in Melbourne or fill ins from some of the leagues as I think the Swans were in the same boat and it should be the same again this week as they are playing Demons VFL
