NZ, England and Aus are all within a percentage point on the WTC table in 2nd,3rd,4th, super close. NZ are done and will stay on 70%. England with an extremely tough series in India and then the Aus/SA series (if it goes ahead).

Aus need a series win in SA to Jump the Kiwis and most likely play India. Odds on to be a NZ vs India final at Lords - surely kiwis favourites in those conditions?

I think it’s just because of his stance and the weird periscope thing he does with the bat before he faces. Looks like it lends itself much more to pace bowling than spin

Absolutely no denying that but he seems to be also at his best against them too in terms of his stroke making when he really hits form

Interesting couple of firsts ever from this test for the stats nerds.

England are the first team ever where the seamers have taken all 10 wickets in the first innings and the spinners take all 10 wickets in the 2nd innings.

Also England’s 1st innings there were 5 instances of a bowler-catcher combination in the one innings that wasn’t the keeper.
