Discussion 2021 Fixture Changes , including Byes

First bye round is probably the biggest issue for me.

Assuming some rookies hold their spots I'll have 18+ before trades, however I'll be missing;
Stewart, Jiath
Jelly, Titch

Ziebell, Impey

The issue is besides Boak there's no one from that bye round that I want to trade in for round 13. Titch and Jelly have dipped but I already have them.

Round 13 I'll be missing;
Short, Ridley
Macrae, Zerrett

Dusty, Daniher

Could have 17 playing before trades, intended on getting Boak in and was planning on sideways trading Daniher, not many options I like that have already played though, Greene was my original plan but he's dead now, Hawkins was an option but has priced himself out.
Might just get Boak in and fill the kitty up for the next round.

Round 14 should be ok. Will use all trades to get as many as possible that week.

Greene could be back round 13? If you feel brave I guess.

With my Round 11 trades locked in (Heeney and Cerra), I can finally review my bye structure in better detail.

Assuming RCD, Poulter, Rowe, Kosi and Flynn are all locks throughout the bye
Assuming Highmore, Murphy, Macrae Jnr and Waterman are all maybes

Round 12 - Worst Case 18 / Best Case 21
Round 13 - 16/19
Round 14 - 15/16

Strategies are definitely being worked out around the following:

R13 - Flynn > Reeves (E)
R14 - Rowe > Neale (+1)

Madden presents a real possibility for me this week, but I think the opportunity is presenting itself too early. Ideally it would have been handy for him to come after his bye round so that I could swap him into my backline for a Highmore / Murphy in R14.

Like to go for overall, but mainly want to win my cash league so think I might just cop the hit.

nahhhh, with where the club is aligned (voices from President all the way down to senior coach) they are in play the kids mode and Reeves was very good for a young ruckman in his first game - if he plays R14 great, if he keeps on playing its a bonus, but I can't see them moving the magnets around like that with where they are at

Reeves should get a decent run, think its more likely he plays r14 considering the week off in r12 lessening the managed risk.

Ceglar wont get many more games if any if we are serious about a rebuild.

Yep, I expect most would be planning for him to facilitate the Flynn cash injection, which will be so important for upgrading around the byes.

Yep just did my trade scenarios for the byes and Flynn to Reeves is the key, hopefully he can keep his spot for the next four weeks at least.

Nope, but as always there's the risk of going early on a rookie and him not playing round 14 when Gawn and Grundy are out. But hey it's one rookie score in one best 18 round so no great loss. I'm getting him round 13 with similar risk

Will be bringing in Petracca round 12 but waiting for rookies to moo. Guess I will be playing short for one week as don't have enough trades.

I'm fine round 12 and 13. Round 14 I have about 13 likely starters (and Waterman) .

Lots of round 14 rookies so can use 6 trades to clear them out.

Reeves playing round 14 and a defensive rookie would be very helpful.

farrar brought in exactly for the byes is why i got him. fin macrae playing would help a bit.
