4 games in Melbourne/Vic 😔
A run down on our games in Vic and FTA Vic games throughout our history. The least amount of games we've had in Melbourne since 2015 (not counting 2020).. seeing we didnt get to see the team at all last season it is a bit sad to only get three games in Melbourne! Looking at this now, I should have only got the Away Sunscreamer over the Victorian Sun considering it is going to be almost impossible to use up the extra games i am given at the g!

So 3 of the 6 teams we play between in rounds 1-6 finished in the bottom 3. We have 2 opponents who finished between 5th to 8th and the 11th placed Blues to round our the first 6 fixture of the season for us.

What do we think of the draw? Clearly we should win at least 3 of these first 6 games and it's definitely possible for us to spring a surprise on West Coast or the Dogs. Then we have Carlton at home which is pretty hard to predict in my opinion. I don't want to get too carried away but I think a record of 4-2 after round 6 is definitely achievable for us.

WC have had a few slow starts, so perhaps we might catch them out. Otherwise 3-3 end of the first 6 rounds is par.
2018: 29 point loss to Sydney @ Optus
2019: 44 point loss to Brisbane @ Gabba
2020: 44 point loss to Gold Coast @ Metricon

Okay, okay. I know they actually beat Melbourne by 27 points in the "official" round 1 this year but I consider round 2 to be a better indicator of how teams started the 2020 season for obvious reasons. Either way, West Coast do seem to have been a bit vulnerable at the start of the season in recent years.

It'd be a statement win for sure. Beating them at Metricon this year was great but going over to Perth and doing it on their home deck is arguably far more challenging.
