You'd hope Lokan, Sutcliffe and any other senior players will be telling the 1-2 year draftees that this is the biggest game of their lives to date and to go hard. Equivalent to Coll v Essendon/Carlton. Not just a run around for a bit of match fitness, because Norwood will be treating it like a grand final.

Opening Round Easter Weekend – Norwood will host arch-rival Port Adelaide to kick the season off on Easter Thursday before four games will be played on Good Friday for the first time. Reigning premier Woodville-West Torrens will unfurl its premiership flag against Sturt at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval while Glenelg will tackle West Adelaide at ACH Group Stadium in the twilight timeslot of 4.10pm.

Double Grand Final Rematch on Anzac Weekend – 2019 premier Glenelg will have its opportunity to confront Port Adelaide at ACH Group Stadium at 6.30pm on Saturday April 24 after not having the chance to play the Magpies on Anzac Day last year. The Eagles will host North Adelaide at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval on Anzac Day in a standalone rematch of the 2020 title-decider. West Adelaide will host Norwood at Hisense Stadium on Friday April 23 to kickstart Anzac Weekend.

West End State Game – SANFL’s best will don the cherished red guernsey when the West End State Team hosts the WAFL at Adelaide Oval on the weekend of Saturday May 15. The highly anticipated clash for the Haydn Bunton Cup is likely to be a curtain-raiser to the AFL match between Port Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs.

Country Game on Fleurieu Peninsula – South Adelaide will play Adelaide at Victor Harbor on the weekend of Saturday July 10 as part of the SA Country Football Championships. This will give the Panthers the opportunity to give fans in their regional zone a taste of League footy in their own backyard.

Indigenous Round – SANFL will celebrate the outstanding contribution to Australian Football made by Indigenous players in Round 13. The weekend of Saturday July 3 will lead into NAIDOC week in which all Australians celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

SANFL Finals – The Statewide Super League Finals series will return to a four-week period, beginning on the weekend of Saturday August 28, with the resumption of a top-five major round in 2021. All matches will be played at Adelaide Oval, including the Grand Final on Sunday September 19.

THE 2021 SANFL Statewide Super League Fixture has landed and Port Adelaide will enjoy nine games at Alberton and a special late-season hit-out at Adelaide Oval.

The Round 17 fixture against the Crows will see the sides face off on the hallowed turf and get a taste of the venue that will host all games in the finals series including the Grand Final on Sunday 19 September.

It is expected to be a double-header with the AFL sides to meet at the same venue on the same weekend.

As revealed last night, Port Adelaide will visit the Parade for the opening game of the season against Norwood on Thursday 1 April with the rest of the opening round to be played the following day on Good Friday.

The club’s nine home games at Alberton include Sunday meetings with reigning Premier Woodville-West Torrens on 2 May, and Sturt on 20 June.
Its first home game comes against Central District on Saturday 10 April and it will finish the home and away season with a home game against South Adelaide.

There will be a nice stretch of four home games in a row against Woodville-West Torrens, Adelaide, North Adelaide and West Adelaide between rounds five and eight. The SANFL has only completed the fixture up until Round 11 after each side has also had a bye, with the dates and times of the remaining rounds to be revealed later.

Port Adelaide’s bye comes in Round 9, three weeks after a scheduled pause in the SANFL season for the state game involving a SANFL select team hosting a similar team from the WAFL competition. That game will take place at a venue to be confirmed on the weekend of the 15th and 16th of May. There is also a split round to be played in Round 17 with Port Adelaide to sit out the weekend starting the 31st of July.

Other highlights of the club’s fixture include an ANZAC Round match-up against Glenelg at the Bay on the evening of Saturday 24 April and an Indigenous Round meeting at Elizabeth against Central District.

yes, goodbye to the magpie logo. they need to make a 60 foot high version on frosted glass and have it erected at the Port club. never forgotten.

this a heinous amount of space

Just don't change your avatar eh?

Look from a one club perspective I think its good, but I don't like the change being done without explanation.
Makes me wonder what else will change and why.
There was an explanation from KT. It's a unified logo for the whole club. Should have been done a long time ago.

Reckon there's still space for a Maggie's logo on the kit.
The club logo(s) has evolved. Less emphasis on nicknames (Power/Magpies), and more on the club name (Port Adelaide) as well as Prison Bars.

McGowan is playing hard-ball over the WA border and there is a reasonable likelihood that the schedule is going to be impacted as early as the end of round 2. We are scheduled to play West Coast at Optus Stadium in Perth in round 3. I assume the AFL are going to be on top of this but I do wonder if this means another hub for the WA teams. Can't see them ripping up the schedule in terms of who plays who but this game could definitely be moved from Perth - which imo would definitely help us.
