Paddy Dow ....$202K Mid / Fwd ....do you have the faith ?

Similarly, Paddy Dow was the third pick in the 2017 National Draft and after playing 39 games in his first two seasons, he only managed three in 2020.

Under David Teague, Dow was deployed more across half forward in the back-half of 2019 as well as struggling to break into the side through the midfield last year.

Weitering understands what the 21-year-old has been through and is confident he will emerge as the quality midfielder he was drafted to be.

“I’ve got a bit of sympathy for Dow because I went through something very similar in 2018, he probably just lost a bit of confidence and belief in himself,” Weitering told Sportsday.

“He was pick three for a reason. He’s bloody quick, he’s got an awesome step.

“I guess the biggest knock on him was his kicking and if you’re playing AFL football everyone can kick and he just needed to get the demons out of his head and he’s had an awesome pre-season to date, he’s kicking the ball really well and he’ll be certainly putting his hand up for Round 1 and hopefully having a consistent year.”

I think Dow has brain damage for an overall pick 3 I reckon Carlton got it wrong look at luggage equivalent pick I hope I’m wrong and Dow kills it but I think he’ll be in and out of the team but pre season will help see what his been up too

Its a corky not a strain - not overly concerned - its only on the news because Danger
Need to lay it on thick though - throw in some latin, "car accident stuff", may need stem cell therapy and hyperbaric chamber, moon boot+crutches, flying to switzerland to see a specialist etc. Then a rub down on thursday clears it up we can all fap about that legendary recovery time...

Unless you’re named Zorko.

With so many HF types being promised some midfield time or more midfield time for others, will that mean the spread of SC scores even-out somewhat? As in SP mids score a bit less and forwards that have stints on-ball score a bit more?

What they say and what they do will be very different things imo. When the whips are cracking teams put their guns in the middle.

i think ziebell daniher and impey are a gift from the sc gods.
take all three

Exactly :thumbsu: Just over $700,000 for 3 experienced players that should net 240 points a week between them and also go up in value is a no brainer.

Impey or Daniher cant decide?
Impey if I had to choose. Aside from the bad knee injury, he's been durable. Won't be as up and down with scoring as a key forward will be. Should be good for around 70-80 most weeks
