Funny the club is floating Cameron playing. Billy on the rush hour confirms what others have said in that he isn’t training and won’t be playing until May. A few jokes about it but you can tell there is real concern now.
Rumour doing the rounds is that he still has some bleeding in the hammy and is having injections. Not a tear but not doing any training so it would be a massive gamble to play him you’d think.
Just listened to that interview becauae I was curious and tbh, it's exactly what I said - he doesn't really know what's going on.
He also literally said the words 'I don't know.' Sounds like it's all just a bunch of speculation, to get clicks. He's only saying we won't see him until May, due to the fact that there's been no media releases about Cameron training. When the player himself comes out and says 'I need to tick boxes x, y and z, then I think we can be pretty confident that he's not hiding anything. Maybe he's having private training sessions one on one. Maybe he's doing strength and conditioning work, while also managing his loads. He has nearly a full pre-season behind him, so it's more a case of just getting on the training track this week and next, and proving his fitness. Main thing with a hammy is to let it heal, then build up your fitness - not try and train in between...so it's not that strange IMO.
I think the whole thing is speculation and innuendo, due to no-one in the media having much of an idea of what is actually happening.
When a player themselves addresses where theyre at though, it's a very good sign Think about it, did we ever see Cocky, Linc, Menzel, Vardy etc. come out and do that? Nope, all we got was radio silence, vague answers from the coaching/med staff when asked, and a timeline that just kept stretching on without there being any info provided.
Now that info has been provided, we should probably have a clear idea of how close he is, and I'm sure something along the lines of 'he was close, but we gave him that extra week to be ready and firing for the Eagles' will be Scott's response in the post- match presser.'
