Just have the surgery, be extra cautions and give him the first 2 months off to get back to full fitness before returning.

When finals come, we can’t afford him to be playing at 80% capacity
I’m worried he’ll be playing most of his career at 80% being the explosive type player he is.

Isn’t it fairly common for surgery to be a last resort, and if you can get away without it with managing the injury you do it?

Anyway I was definitely critical of our medical department during the Burgo years when we always seemed to have a heap of injuries circa 2015-16 but we’ve been pretty good managing injuries lately and having very small injuries lists for a couple years now. Compared to other teams we are doing okay.

I hope don't play Todd if he's not 100%.

He seems to be the type to play timid when he's not 100% and then get down on confidence.

Better off giving him the extra week or 2 so he can come back firing on all cylinders and find form and confidence for a big year.

Lord cleared of any damage after copping a hit to his face/head.

Goldsack with an MCL injury. Could possibly be 6 weeks out.

Mead as we know is playing AFL so good to see no injury there for him.

The right call for his future. and someone else will fill in and hopefully do a good job as well. We've got the players.

The way they explained it makes sense as to why he played. Has been booked in all week but no danger of further injury so why not get game time into him?

So Connor was always going to have the operation. Was specialist availability the limiting point? No further injury from playing just means getting some match practice into him.

So how long is he out for then?

Depends but generally you’d say 3-4 weeks so will miss rds 1-2 potentially. If the surgery is a success I’ll take a fit Connor for the remainder than a managed Connor that plays every game.
