Key Off-Season Dates
This is a comprehensive list including dates for draft combines, list lodgements, delisted free agency windows and return to train dates. I had to collate these from three different club websites because the AFL is lazy af and doesn't have it on their website, so thought it might be helpful to share:

FAQs & Resources Thread

It has an index at the top with threadmarks so it's easy to find what you're looking for – or easier than scrolling through 250 pages of AFL Rules, Regulations and CBA pdfs anyway.

These sorts of questions are all answered along with a bunch of other resources made by posters from across BigFooty (feel free to add to it!):

Possibility for us?

Article says it is possible

Not sure if accurate as he would be moving cities for no guaranteed game time
I may be wrong but originally from Tassie and not sure of any links to current Giants
1st year at the Demons he may have played as a pressure forward as he could suit the club in that capacity
Able to play from rd 1, fill in for Toby, comp for spots as a small forward, should be cheap salary wise and more likely to play next year than any of the later pick small forwards in the draft and he may be happy to still be on a list and be ok with fighting for a spot in the 22

I can't imagine he'd have too any others offers so if he wants to continue to play AFL we might be his only option. He might have a few more options to train with a club over the pre-season and earn a contract before the season starts but this offers more security which would have to play a factor.

Mac up to 80 kg thanks to a good weights program and nutrition program, that's 10kg over the course of 6 months which is a fair effort. If Sam Darcy has been resting through his off time and foot injury I wonder if people have the same concerns about him as they do about Mac 🤗

That’s actually ridic development

I have huge concerns on Darcy.

Have commented a few times he looks way too lean.

With all the talk that the we're looking at multiple different small forward delisted options to fill that hole doesn't Rachele make sense for them in the event they trade down he'd still be expected to be avaliable if we move back to either 3 or 4 and likely at Hawthorns 5. Rachele at the moment is probably my second preferance in the event Callaghan isn't selected and we choose to trade down think he'd cause huge problems for teams paired with Toby i50.

Perhaps Lockhart is a ''backup option'' depending on what happens in the draft. Rachele was one of the players named as GWS being interested in - Callaghan, Andrew & Gibcus being the others. Obviously, there are a lot of machinations around trading up or down the draft (noting we could trade up from #13 to potentially grab someone, as well as or instead of trading down from #2) that the team would be looking at.

The point will be we only have the one early pick at the moment, so if we have Andrew as the No1 target, we cannot guarantee a second early draftee. And Rachele, whilst he might be in the mix, might not be the No2 target, but an alternative, so we might not get him even if he's around the mix. So we might be having an alternative plan ready to go, but not guaranteed.

An example scenario:

Trade with Hawks: #2 for #5 plus their two second round picks. #5 gets used on Andrew to lock our No1 target in. Then trade #13 plus a second round pick to say St Kilda (who are on record as wanting more picks this draft) for their #9. Hope that either Gibcus or Rachele is still there at that selection.

ND: JHF, Daicos, Darcy, Callaghan/Hawks, Gibcus/Suns, Erasmus/Crows, Andrew/GWS, Amiss/Freo, Hobbs/Tigers, Johnson/Freo - bingo there's Rachele.

OR

ND: JHF, Daicos, Darcy, Callaghan/Hawks, Gibcus/Suns, Rachele/Crows, Andrew/GWS, Erasmus/Freo, Hobbs/Tigers, Amiss/Freo - damn, missed them both!

Don't think I'd want to trade down any lower then Adelaide at 4 unless Hawthorn were willing to put a lot more on the table or Freo is offering a huge deal, thats just me though I'm not a big fan of Mac Andrews' fit with this team and would have him ranked 4th for us of the rumoured 4 players that we've been linked with. Would rank them: Callaghan, Rachele, Gibcus and then Mac. If the plan is to get Mac then they can likely get away with trading down to Hawthorn and if they're lucky Freo.

I’m not sure Mac could ever really play ruck in the AFL. Those fellas are so good at using their size to advantage. Look at Tim English.

At this rate he'll just jump over them.
Personally I like him as a FF, if he develops strongly as a Ruck great.
I would love for him to be elite next year but we may only get a few more years out of Hogan. So we should be developing the next JC level forward.
I'm very excited for draft night. I think there is going to be a lot of live trading.
Tim English is a pretty stiff players. Mac (from the limited vision) seems to have great agility. I'm buying all the hype right now 😂

Callaghan/Mac aside
13(15) is going to be a fascinating pick. What do our list managers feel we need to sure up through the draft?
Sam Taylor was a pick 28....can we find his little brother or something?

I was hoping his little brother Luke might be a solid selection to join Sam at GWS. But it seems not - at least not this year. Injury didn't help.
