We seemed to have a lot of joggers who float around the ground and refuse to gut run to contests. You cannot carry these guys on your list. They have not shown the drive to become AFL footballers.

You watch Walsh and Stocker - they have a serious crack. These others are now in their 4th - 5th year and look nowhere as players.

Called for a potential look at an SPS trade at years end in the first couple of weeks of the season, not because I don’t want him, more to grab more value and send him somewhere where he will be used correctly if we aren’t doing it ourselves. I was and still am of the idea he’s wasted along HB.

I think not being a fixture in our side at this stage of his career and being out of the side/not impressing enough to get back in, it might actually be on the cards. There was a rumour that Sean Darcy wants to come back to Vic and we were interested, same with the obvious Cerra rumours. Would be silly to not look at either who should improve us in areas needing more quality (although, not convinced on Darcy if that’s who we might look at in pairing with TDK).

Williams is too fat and can’t run well enough to play on the wing or midfield, it’s not his fault anyone would have taken that ridiculous contract he was offered, however he is a $350,000 player getting paid around $800,000 and someone should be held accountable it may end up costing us Harry or Cripps.

Not sure we will see Curnow play another senior game to brutally honest. If he had done an ACL he would have been back and playing by now. He has been running and is now just starting to join in on ball work. The test will come when 2 and 3 opposition players collide with him 5 and 6 times a game, and put his knee under real pressure.

If Curnow does manage to make a comeback, he will be a shell of the player we remembered, but 10 times better than McGovern. People of my generation still remember Peter Motley, and how his brilliant career was tragically ended, by someone that the authorities have never been able to identify, which almost beggars belief.

I think it's well known he is on 800k with incentives for the ability to be 900k but thankfully he won't be hitting the targets for the extra 100k , if he or anyone else can't handle his weight/fitness being questioned then he shouldn't be playing the highest profile sport in the country .

Carlton needs to get passed Liam Jones. Gifts 2 goals per week and is a 30 year old diabolical decision maker, playing in a position requiring a clear mind and cool head. The solution is to groom kemp as a centre half back and move Weitering to full back

pretty sure he has half of weiterings b and f medal from last season. jones is great and many media think we have one of the best back duos

The damage he has done to his knee is one of those injuries that may not allow him to play again.

I don’t reckon we’re playing him through 7-8 vfl games before being available for senior selection.

It’s not like Doc, TDK, or Newman had to do that. I’ve even got doubts Kemp will play that many VFL games before finding himself in the ones.

I agree. If he's on full minutes in the VFL, then clearly his match fitness is up to scratch. All that's left is to properly test out his knee/ankle, and that might only take 2-3 games.

What’s the plan for fish? Does he only play in forward arc or will he get midfield minutes as well?

Personally I like the way he weaves and dodges his way through traffic. It’s a unique skill that we should be utilising at centre bounces and stoppages. So I’m hoping it is a mix of forward and centre bounces.
